Widget de lista configurable: capacidad de exportar datos a columnas separadas

    Hola,

    Hi Oscar,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Spanish-speaking support agents are currently helping other users, so I’ll reply in English for now. But you can continue writing in Spanish if that’s more comfortable for you.

At the moment, it’s not possible for the Configurable List widget to export each entry into separate columns in Excel - it will always concatenate values into one cell. If you need structured data per employee in columns, here are two options:

    • Use an Input Table field instead of a Configurable List. Input Tables export each row and column into separate cells in Excel, making your reports clearer.
    • Keep the Configurable List but, after export, use Excel’s Text to Columns feature to split the data into separate columns.

You can check more details about the Input Table here: How to Set Different Input Types in an Input Table.

Let us know if you need any more help.

    Hi, thanks for your reply.

The Input Table does export data in separate columns, which is very helpful. However, unlike the Configurable List, it doesn’t allow adding more rows dynamically — we would need to predefine a fixed number of rows (e.g. Employee 1 to 30).

Our use case is to register weekly employee incidents (attendance, absences, overtime, etc.), and the number of employees can vary. That’s why we need something that combines both: structured export (like Input Table) and dynamic rows (like Configurable List).

Is there any workaround or widget that can provide this combination, or any upcoming feature planned for this scenario?

    Hi Oscar,

A workaround would be to create a Grid Listing report. The data from the report can then be copied into a Google Sheet or an Excel file. Let me show you how:

    1. On your My Workspace page, select the form associated with the Configurable List widget and then click on Reports.
    2. Now, in the Dropdown menu, select Add New Report. Widget de lista configurable: capacidad de exportar datos a columnas separadas Image 1 Screenshot 30
    3. Next, select Grid listing at the bottom-left.
    4. Now, select the fields you want to add to the report and then click on Create at the bottom.
    5. Finally, in the Window that opens up, click on Open Report to open the report. Widget de lista configurable: capacidad de exportar datos a columnas separadas Image 2 Screenshot 41

That's it. While that feature isn’t available in Jotform right now, I’ve sent your request to our Developers for review. When or if it gets developed will depend on their current workload, how possible it is, and how much demand there is from other users. If/when we have any updates, we’ll follow up here and keep you posted.
