Diseño de formulario poco atractivo

Estoy un poco frustrado con el diseño de los formularios porque a menos que le madifique absurdamente el CSS el aspecto general del formulario no es atractivo. Se ven envejecidos, como si estuviera trabajando con Windows XP.

¿Existe algún manual o tienen nuevas plantillas para ajustar la visual de los formularios con un estilo más moderno y actualizado?
