Can the previous assigned signer has the ability to sign when the Sign Document is re-assigned?

2- I tried to send another test to sign. I wanted to use a non-Comcast email. I did use two of the Gmail email accounts that I had used in the previous test. These Gmail accounts did not receive a second email with a link to sign. They received an email but not like the first time around. I will attach a screenshot. Can a second My Sign Document not be signed by previous signer?

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi HavaneseRescueInc,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. If I understood what you’re asking, you want to know if the previous assigned signee can still sign the document. Yes, then can still sign the document. If you don't want them to sign the document, you can cancel it. Let me show you how:

    1. In Sign Inbox, click on the Cancel Document button at the upper right side of the page.
    2. Encode the reason in the text box, then click on the Cancel Document button.

If that’s not exactly what you’re looking for, can you explain a bit more so I can help you better?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

My screenshot shows what is sent to the email address that previously signed a My Sign Document. This second invite doesn't include a link to the form to sign like the first email message did.

    Hi HavaneseRescueInc,

In your previous screenshot, it shows what you see on the first invite. For us to be able to assist you better, can you send us a screenshot of what you see on the second invite? This will help us understand better what's happening, and provide you a more accurate resolution.

Also, keep in mind that since you're using the Jotform Sign automation, once the form has been signed and completed by all signers, they will receive the PDF document, and audit trail to their email.

The signers can still sign the form again in a new session, and not the previous one, since submissions cannot be edited when Jotform Sign automation is enabled.

Let us know if you need any more help.

    Hi Scott,

I cloned your form and was able to submit successfully—no errors. I’ve attached a short screen recording for reference. I also cleared your form caches on our side.

Since the standalone test works, the issue points to the embed. Please re-embed the form on your website (iFrame embed) and test again.

First I'm assuming the message you sent to "Scott" was in error.

I will include the screenshot of the second message. The second message is the one at the bottom in blue. This is the whole message. There is not link like the message above also shown in the this screenshot. Can the previous assigned signer has the ability to sign when the Sign Document is re assigned? Image 1 Screenshot 20

    Hi HavaneseRescueInc,

Looking at the screenshot you sent, I believe the second message is likely grouped because the sender is the same, this is common in many email applications. When you click the three dots, what do you see? Could you also send a screenshot of that? You should see the email with the button containing the link to sign. Also, could you provide the Gmail address where you’re receiving the email?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

This is the second time I have tried replying to your request. I will include the screenshot of what is available when the "three dots" are selected. Please advise. Can the previous assigned signer has the ability to sign when the Sign Document is re assigned? Image 1 Screenshot 20

    Hi HavaneseRescueInc,

Yes, the previously assigned signer can still sign the document, even if it’s reassigned to them. As my colleague Chris_L mentioned earlier, unless the document has been canceled, the signer retains access and can complete the signing process using the original. Can you try sending a reminder email instead and see how it goes? This action will trigger a new separate email. Let me show you how:

    1. On Sign Builder, in the green navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Send.
    2. Hover your mouse over the send document and click on the External Link icon to open Sign Inbox on a new page.
    3. In the new tab that opens, click on the Send Reminder Email button next to the Cancel Document button on the top right side of the page and select Send.
