Good morning,
I am transitioning to a new role in a different organization and need to relinquish ownership of this account and put it in someone else's name.

Hi Latoya,
To transfer ownership of your Jotform account forms, you can go to the Data page of your account and click the Transfer Forms button at the bottom. You'll need to enter a verification code sent to your email, select the forms to transfer, and then the new owner must accept the transfer request.
Note that forms connected to Jotform Apps, Workflows, or AI Agents cannot be transferred, and HIPAA-enabled accounts are not allowed to transfer forms.
Let me know if you need any more details.

Hi Latoya,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can simply change the email address of your account to the email address of your successor. It is very easy to do. Let me show you how:
1. Click the Avatar icon located on the upper right side of the page.
2. Click on your Profile.
3. Click the Edit button on the right side in line with the Email section.
4. Enter your new account email in the text field and click the Save button.
We also have a much detailed guide here that you can check to know more about this.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.

Thanks for this information. How do I remove the email address of the previous person so that only my current email address is showing as the primary?

Hi Elissa,
A Jotform account can only have one primary email address at a time, so it’s not possible to maintain multiple primary emails under the same account. Once you update the account’s email to your current address, full ownership and access rights will transfer exclusively to that new email. The previous email address will no longer be able to log in or access any of the account’s forms, submissions, or data.
That’s it. Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks for your response. I did put a different address in and the address was verify. However, the old address is still showing under my settings.

Hi Elissa,
You may have added the email address in the Backup Email field, that's why the old email address is still showing. Can you take a screenshot of what’s happening and send it to us? We’ve got a quick guide on how to do that here.
Once we hear back from you, we can get moving on a solution.

The screen shot of the field in my settings is above. I have already clicked "edit", added a new email, and the new email has been confirmed/verified. However, the old email is still showing.

Hi Elissa,
It’s possible that the new email you’re trying to set is already associated with another Jotform account, which would prevent it from being fully applied as the primary. Could you share with us the new email address you’re attempting to use so we can check? If that email is already registered, we suggest using a different email address that hasn’t been used to sign up for Jotform.
If the issue still persists after that, provide us with a screenshot of the browser console log while you perform the steps that lead to the problem. Our guide on How to Get a Console Report from Most Common Browsers shows you how. This will help us identify if there’s an error preventing the update from completing.
Once we hear back from you, we can help you sort this out.

The email address is aaulmer@york.k12.sc.us.
This account has not had a previous jotform account. The new email address was accepted in this current account and we verified the email at aaulmer@york.k12.sc.us. However, we continue to have the old email address listed as the primary (see earlier screen shot).

Hi Elissa,
The email address aaulmer@york.k12.sc.us is not linked to a Jotform account, which is why the old email address is still showing on your account. Try following my colleague’s guide again and make sure to click the Save button after updating the email.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
