Hello,
I created a form (Title: Trip Payment Form) and tested it twice on Oct 3, 2025 and it worked. I have not made any changes to the form and it is still integrated successfully with my Authorize.net account. I embedded this form on my website yesterday 12/17/24 but now when you try to submit a payment you get an error message that says
"Error During Transaction" The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive.
I went ahead and requested a new transaction key from Authorize.net and disabled the old one immediately. I entered the new transaction key in my JotForm settings and ran another test and got the same error message. Can you please help me figure out what is happening and how to fix it? This is extremely time sensitive as we have clients needing to make trip payments and cannot at the moment.
Thank you

Hi rfwma,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. When I cloned and tested your form, everything worked the way it was supposed to. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:
Can you go ahead and make sure you are using a correct and updated Transaction key and API Login ID? You can check out this guide to learn more API Login ID and Transaction key. We also have a guide about How to Integrate Authorize.Net With Jotform that you can check out.
Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi rfwma,
It looks like you're currently experiencing two separate issues:
- Form is not loading on your website and showing a Form engine failed - #8jsvm42 error.
- Authorize.net integration is returning an Error During Transaction – The merchant login ID or password is invalid or the account is inactive message.
Let’s fix these one at a time to make sure everything is working smoothly. First, regarding the Form engine failed error, this usually points to an issue with how the form is embedded on your site or a temporary form loading issue.
Can you try to clear your browser cache and cookies to see if the issue no longer replicates? I cleared your form cache as a precaution. You can also try this to test your form on a different device or browser to see if the issue still replicates.
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.
