    Hi Michele,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our Italian Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users right now, so I'll help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in Italian, let us know and we can have them do that. But it might take a while until they're available again.

Now, coming back to your question, we are sending the emails via the AWS SES, and it has a total size limitation of 5 MB. This is a limitation imposed by us to ensure that the email gets delivered. If the attachment's total size exceeds 5 MB, the notification emails will be sent without attachments. This is a standard limit for all users.

I recommend setting up your SMTP as your sender email. The attachment limit will then be determined by the email provider you use, such services allow up to 20 MB of attachments. You can easily set up a custom SMTP to use your email sender as a provider. Let me walk you through it:

    1. Go to the Settings page while logged in to your Jotform account and click on Add Sender Email in the Sender Emails section.Email attachment exceeds 5 MB limit Image 1 Screenshot 60

    2. In the window that opens, select Custom and click on the Continue button.Email attachment exceeds 5 MB limit Image 2 Screenshot 71

    3. Enter your email provider's details, click on Send Test Email to check if it’s set up correctly, and then click on Save.Email attachment exceeds 5 MB limit Image 3 Screenshot 82Now you should select your custom SMTP in your email properties under email settings in Form Builder, and if you’re using Workflow Builder, do the same there. Check below to see how it looks in Form Builder:Email attachment exceeds 5 MB limit Image 4 Screenshot 93And here’s how it looks in Workflow Builder:Email attachment exceeds 5 MB limit Image 5 Screenshot 104

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
