Eat Ballard is a volunteer initiative backed by local restaurants, bars, cafes and breweries. It consists of a popular website and Facebook page which promise to make you a better lover… of ‘Food, Fun, and Community’ in Ballard, a historic Seattle waterfront neighborhood just north of downtown with population 44,000.
In a trial and error effort to make a positive impact, including a side project in 2015 to publicize the plight of beloved landmark Edith Macefield House (aka the UP House of Pixar fame), Eat Ballard volunteers developed a concept to match local schools, clubs and nonprofits with donated gift cards for their raffles and auctions. And to do that, they enlisted the help of their trusty form builder, JotForm.
“Donation requests were coming at us from all directions and we were overwhelmed,” says Wirz. “Jotform provided an easy way to collect, screen, track and fulfill the donation requests. Over 200 matches have been made and an estimated $20,000 has raised for the community.”
Jotform enabled Eat Ballard volunteers to centralize all the donation requests by embedding a custom form on their website. All donation requests are conveniently stored on Jotform, so Eat Ballard can track and download the requests in multiple formats, including PDF, Excel and CSV.
