Accidentally deleting a form can be frustrating, but Jotform makes it easy to get it back. If you deleted a form by mistake, or need to restore one for ongoing use, you can do it quickly without losing any important data.
You can restore a form just as easily as you can delete it. Here’s how to do it:
- On your My Workspace page, click on the Trash tab on the bottom-left side of the screen.
- Now, click on Type at the top of the page, and in the Dropdown menu that opens, uncheck the boxes next to all the assets except Forms, so only they’ll be shown on the page.
- Then, hover your mouse over the form you want to restore, and then click on Restore on the right side of the page.
You can also restore multiple forms at the same time. Here’s how to do it:
- While your assets are filtered by the Form type in the Trash folder on your My Workspace page, put checks in the boxes next to the forms you want to restore.
- Now, click on Restore in the menu at the top of the page.
Pro Tip
Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard to select or deselect multiple consecutive forms.
That’s it! Restoring forms will enable and move them back to your main Workspace page.
Note
Forms in the Trash folder of your My Workspace page stay there for 30 days before being permanently deleted unless you purge them manually. Forms deleted or purged from the Trash cannot be restored. We also have a guide to help you learn more about How to Delete a Form.

I deleted a consultation registration form but only the bottom portion with the date selections. When trying to recover it, I'm unable to locate the exact form with those particular dates on it. Plus, when I click restore will it go to the same spot I deleted it from? Can you help?

That was scary. I don't know how a form got deleted. There are no tooltips on any of the objects, such as trash or archive, and their use is not intuitive. You normally click trash to delete something, not restore it, so it was anti-intuitive getting a form restored. In fact, I'm now not sure what the Archive button does. Does it open or show the archive, or put something into it. How do you access something in it?
These are all critical little facts that should be tooltipped for sure.
I also think $200/yr is very expensive for this program.

help I tried to follow your directions to restore a document in that trash folder, however there is no trash folder. The document I am trying to restore is the WheTEP application folder. How do I restore this if there is not trash folder to access?
