Bonjour,
Lorsqu'un utilisateur saisit son code postal, est-il possible de déclencher un script JavaScript pour récupérer une information depuis une base de données ou une API. Cette information pouvant ensuite être affiché dans un élément dédié du formulaire.
Merci
Franck Martin
Hello,
When a user enters their postal code, is it possible to trigger a JavaScript script to retrieve information from a database or API? This information can then be displayed in a dedicated element of the form.
Thank you,
Franck Martin

Hi Franck,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Our French Support agents are busy helping other Jotform users at the moment. I'll try to help you in English using Google Translate, but you can reply in whichever language you feel comfortable using. Or, if you'd rather have support in French, let us know and we can have them do that. But, keep in mind that you'd have to wait until they're available again.
Now, coming back to your question, it looks like you want to prefill a certain field with information coming from your database, right? It's not possible with JavaScript, unfortunately. Unless, you get the form's source code, embed it to your website and apply your code there. We have a guide here on How to get the form's source code.
Another option you can try is the Spreadsheet to Form widget. However, the data must be in an Excel spreadsheet file, and that's where the data will be pulled from. We have a guide here on how to set it up in the form.
Reach out to us again if you have any other questions.
