Someone created a form and shared it with our account. When accepting it through email it's asking me to create a new password for your account. I don't want to do that, it will cause issues on our end of things.

Is there a different way to go about this? I don't remember having to do this with past forms they have shared.

This form won't allow me to upload screenshots.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I understand your concern about being asked to create a new password when accepting a shared form via email.

Currently, when a form is shared with your account through email, Jotform requires you to create or confirm your account password for security reasons. Unfortunately, there isn't an alternative method to accept a shared form without this step.

However, as an alternative, you can ask the person sharing the form to provide you with the form URL so you can clone the form directly into your account without needing to accept it via email. Here’s how to clone a form:

    1. Open your My Workspace page and click on Create Form on the left side.
    2. Click on Import Form.
    3. Select From a Webpage.
    4. Paste the form URL into the field and click Create Form.

This way, you can have the form in your account without going through the password reset step.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi info710_info_info476,

Upon checking, the form belongs to a HIPAA-friendly account, so when it is shared, it will prompt you to create or change your password that requires a strong password that meets HIPAA requirements, including:

    1. At least 8 characters
    2. One lowercase letter
    3. One uppercase letter
    4. One number
    5. One special character
    6. The password must be different from the last 6 passwords

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
