Hello!
After a submission has been received, when we do an edit, all of the hidden form fields are shown. How do we turn this feature off? Specifically, the time and date sections, since we are not using the hidden ones, and it's asking the same questions, just in a different block. I would prefer to delete those duplicated questions on the form, but cannot because it will delete the information that has been submitted when we used that question. Mainly it is confusing our clients, and makes our form look unprofessional. Here is the link: https://form.jotform.com/250785395827169
Although I haven't tried it, since this form is a clone, I am going to assume it happens on the other form as well.
We look forward to your response.

Hi Ride,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant here to assist you.
Regarding your concern about hidden form fields appearing when editing a submission, this happens because Jotform shows all form fields, including hidden ones, during the edit process to ensure all data is accessible and editable. Unfortunately, there isn't a direct setting to disable this feature.
Since deleting the duplicated hidden questions would remove previously submitted data, a recommended approach is to consider redesigning the form to avoid duplication or to use conditional logic to better manage which fields are shown to users.
If you want, you can also explore disabling the feature that clears hidden field values upon submission, but this won't hide the fields during editing.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

We do use conditional logic on the form, in fact the whole form is based on that. Please submit this question to a human - thanks!

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. And thank you for the detailed explanation.
Let me make sure I understand: after a submission is received, if you or a client edits that submission, the fields that were meant to stay hidden (especially the extra date and time questions) appear on the edit screen. You’d like a way to keep those hidden, or remove them without deleting the data already collected—is that right?

Hi ridefloridaincorporated,
Note that when a hidden field is not linked to any condition, it will remain hidden even the submission is being edited. The hidden field only shows when editing the submission is when it is the form owner that is editing the submission. See screencast below for the edit view of the submitter:
I cloned your form and use my test account to fill out the form. When I edit my submission, the hidden field remains hidden.
Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

Ohhh, well that makes sense then, since we are logged into jotform then we will see all of the fields.
Thanks for clarifying that :)
