Hello - the Date Picker widget in our form is not functioning properly. It is blocking off dates that it is not supposed to. What can I do to fix this?

    Hi FCC,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding the Date Picker widget blocking dates it shouldn't, this issue usually happens due to the settings configured within the widget. To fix this, you should review the widget's date restrictions such as minimum and maximum dates or any disabled dates that might be set unintentionally.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Open your form in the Form Builder.
    2. Select the Date Picker widget on your form.
    3. Check the widget settings for any restrictions on dates, such as disabled dates, minimum date, or maximum date.
    4. Adjust or remove any date restrictions that are causing the widget to block dates incorrectly.
    5. Save your form and test the Date Picker to ensure the issue is resolved.

If you continue to experience issues, please provide more details about your widget settings or the specific dates being blocked.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

There are no restrictions on dates, and there never have been. For some reason Thursdays are blocked off.

    Hi FCC,

Since there are no date restrictions set and Thursdays are still blocked, it is possible that the "Days of the week" option in the Date Picker widget settings is configured to disable Thursdays. This setting can block specific days of the week even if no other restrictions are applied.

To check and fix this, please follow these steps:

    1. Open your form in the Form Builder.
    2. Select the Date Picker widget on your form.
    3. Go to the Limits tab in the widget properties.
    4. Check the "Days of the week" option to see if Thursday is unchecked or disabled.
    5. Enable Thursday by checking it if it is disabled.
    6. Save your form and test the Date Picker again.

This should resolve the issue with Thursdays being blocked. If the problem persists, please let us know.

    Hi FCC,

If you do not see a Limits tab in the Date Picker widget properties, it might be due to the widget version or interface changes. Typically, the Limits options include settings like "Days of the week" to enable or disable specific weekdays.

To troubleshoot this further, please try the following:

    1. Ensure you are using the latest version of the Date Picker widget by removing and re-adding it to your form.
    2. Check the widget settings panel carefully for any options related to date restrictions or days of the week, which might be under a different tab or section.
    3. Look for any conditional logic applied to the Date Picker that might be affecting the available dates.

If none of these options are visible or the issue persists, it may be helpful to share a screenshot or more details about your form setup for further assistance.

If I re-add the widget, I will lose the data in my Tables for this particular form.

    Hi FCC,

I understand your concern about losing data in your Tables if you re-add the Date Picker widget. Re-adding the widget itself will not delete your form submissions or data stored in Jotform Tables, as the data is tied to the form and its submissions, not the individual widget.

However, removing the widget from the form and adding a new one might affect the existing submission data related to that specific field, such as responses tied to the Date Picker field. To avoid any data loss, you can try the following:

    1. Duplicate your form to create a backup before making any changes.
    2. Test re-adding the widget on the duplicated form to see if the issue persists without risking your original data.
    3. Check for any conditional logic or integrations that might be affecting the Date Picker behavior.

This approach helps you troubleshoot without risking your original data. If the problem continues, sharing more details about your form setup might help identify other solutions.

    Hi fcchouston,

Keep in mind that a date will be grayed out if it's no longer available or has been selected. I tried to do this on the cloned version of your form, and selected Thursday, 25, and the date is no longer available on the next submission.

Can you try checking your submission, if there's a submission where the date September 25, 2025 has already been selected? If there's no submission, let us know so we can look into it more to see if we can figure out what’s going on.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.
