I'm working on the form called "After School Enrichment Clubs 2025-2026 School Year" (https://form.jotform.com/252653872178164)

I would love a recommendation for a better widget to use other than using the multiple choice widget over and over.

For the "october programs" if "entire month of October" is selected (item #31), the 5 multiple choice widgets appear. I'd like to have just 1 widget with someone being able to choose 1 option for Monday, 1 option for Tuesday, 1 option for Wednesaday, 1 option for Thursday, and 1 option for Friday.

What would be a better optoin?

    Hi Thekaleidoscope,

I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

I understand you're looking to improve the "After School Enrichment Clubs 2025-2026 School Year" form by replacing the multiple choice widgets in the "October programs" section with a single, more efficient widget.

To assist you better, could you please provide more details about the specific requirements for this widget? For example:

    • What are the options users need to select from for each weekday?
    • Do you need to limit the number of selections for each day?
    • Are there any specific design or layout preferences for the widget?

Once I have a clearer understanding of your needs, I can recommend the most suitable widget for your form.

Reach out again if you need any other help.

Each weekday has the following options:

    Monday - Chess, Theater

Tuesday - Coding, Young Investors Club

Wednesday - FIRST Lego League Robotics, Green Crafts

Thursday - Drones (Soon to add a second)

Friday - Future City, Tabletop Games (5th grade and up)

only 1 option can be chosen for each day, but every day requires a selection.

    Hi Thekaleidoscope,

For your requirement to have one widget where users can select one option per weekday with predefined options for each day, I recommend using the Configurable List widget in Jotform. This widget allows you to create a group of multiple types of information and add rows as needed, which can be customized to have dropdowns or radio buttons for each weekday with the specific options you mentioned.

This way, you can have a single widget where users select one option for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, ensuring only one selection per day and making the form cleaner and more user-friendly.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I don't think that widget will do what I want.

Ideally it'd be a drop-down with the days of the week as sections, and then check box options for which program for each day they want. Can you offer another suggestion?

    Hi Thekaleidoscope,

For your ideal setup with a dropdown for days of the week as sections and checkbox options for each program under each day, there isn't a single built-in widget in Jotform that exactly matches this layout.

However, you might consider using a combination of Dropdown fields for each day paired with Multiple Choice fields for the program options. You can organize these fields in a section or collapsible element to keep the form clean.

This approach allows users to select the day from a dropdown and then choose the program(s) via checkboxes for that day, closely matching your desired layout.

Give this a try and let us know how it works for your form.

    Hi Thekaleidoscope,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you explain a bit more about your requirement? Are you referring to having 1 widget to provide all the week days for the whole month? Let's say in October, it has 5 Mondays, 5 Tuesdays, 4 Wednesdays, 4 Thursdays, 4 Fridays, 4 Saturdays and 4 Sundays. Do you mean you're looking of a way to let the submitter have all those days in 1 widget for every week?

After we hear back from you, we’ll know what’s going on and how to help.
