My agent is not following its rules:
WHEN a user asks for "practice" or a learning "exercise" (or similar terms like "practice problems," "grammar exercises," "sentence correction practice")DO not provide a set of correct sentences
DO 1. Offer 3-5 sentences containing common errors relevant to the user's request
DO 2. Wait for the user to submit their corrections
DO 3. Evaluate each correction (correct/incorrect)
DO 4. Explain the relevant rules for any errors found
DO 5. Provide the corrected versions with explanations of why the changes were made
DO 6. Ask if they want more practice or have questions about the rules covered
The agent continues to simply offer examples sentences that are correct. -

Hi Jan,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked your agent, and I noticed that the Actions you've set are manually typed. Can you try choosing the option Don't Talk About/Mention in the Actions? Let me show you how it's done:
- In Agent Builder, in the blue navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Train.
- In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Actions. Then, click on Add new action.
- Set up the Action like you see below and click on Save:
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Jan,
To provide you with the most effective suggestions for your AI agent, our team would like to clone your AI agent along with its associated knowledge base. This replication allows us to mirror your unique environment and craft a solution that’s perfectly suited to your needs. We guarantee that your data will be treated with the highest level of security and confidentiality, and will only be used to help enhance your experience. After your issue is fully resolved, the cloned AI agent and its data will be deleted.
Can you confirm that we have your permission to go ahead with this process? Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out.
Once we hear back from you, we can get moving on a solution.

Hi Jan,
I cloned your AI agent and tried to replicate the issue, but everything worked the way it should. Check out my results in the screenshot below:
Mind grabbing a screenshot of what you’re seeing and sending it over? Our guide on How to Post Screenshots to Our Help Center shows you how.

Hi Jan,
You need to add practice sentences in the Action you've set up. Take a look at the screenshot below:
Once done, try to test your AI Agent again. You can check out the screenshot below to see my results:
For your AI Agent to work the way you want it, you need to set specific actions and train your AI Agent.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

So, if I have to provide every bit of the content and the decision logic, what is AI doing for me? What am I paying for? I am not satisfied with this answer.

Hi Taylor,
Jotform AI Agents are designed to automate routine tasks such as answering FAQs, scheduling, qualifying leads, supporting customers, onboarding, and more. They help reduce busywork so you can focus on more important tasks, promoting smarter and more efficient workflows. But if for specific use cases like providing practice exercises with error correction, the AI agent requires you to input the exact details and set the decision logic for evaluating user corrections.
This setup allows the AI to interact dynamically by evaluating corrections, explaining rules, and providing feedback based on your content. Basically, the AI handles the interaction and checking part, but it still depends on the content and rules you set. That way, it gives responses that match exactly what you need for more specific tasks like this.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

So why did Mikhail's clone do this task: provide practice sentences?

Hi Taylor,
I also cloned your AI Agent, but couldn't replicate the issue. Take a look at the screenshots below:

- In the dropdown menu, click on Clone.
- In the window that opens up, enter the Agent Name and click on Clone Agent.

Hi Jan,
Let me take a look at this for you. To do that, we’ll need your permission to access your account. Don’t worry, you can turn it off again once we’re done. Let me show you how to do it:
1. In the top-right corner of your My Workspace page, click on your Avatar/Profile Image icon.
2. In the Dropdown menu that opens, click on Settings.
3. Next, in the panel on the left, click on the Security tab.
4. If you haven’t opened your Security page in a while, it’ll ask you to verify. To do that, click on Send Verification Code.
5. Then, enter the Verification Code you receive in your email.
6. Finally, at the bottom of the page, toggle the Jotform Support Access to the On position.
After we hear back from you, we’ll have a better idea of what’s going on and how to help.

Hi Taylor,
I checked your account and can see that the clone option for your AI Agent is available. Take a look at the screenshot below:
Are you using a desktop or a laptop when trying to clone the AI Agent? If so, can you log out and log in again and try it again? If you run into the same issue again, let us know, and we’ll do some more testing to see what’s going on.
Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

When I ask the clone for practice sentences, it provides sentences with the grammar rules but does not follow the agent rule to provide sentences for the student to correct.

Hi Taylor,
Can you take a screenshot of the cloned AI Agent and send it to us? Since we can't replicate the issue on our cloned AI Agent, is it okay if we can test your live AI Agent, so we can check if we can replicate the issue?
Once we hear back from you, we can get moving on a solution.

Taylor_JanReplied on September 24, 2025 at 7:52 AM
Yes, you can test this clone agent.

Hi Taylor,
I tested your AI agent but couldn't replicate the issue. Here's a screenshot for your reference.
Since you included the exact wordings when training the AI agent, could you add the phrase practice sentence as well? This might help the agent better recognize and respond to related requests.
Let us know if you need any other help.
