When I try to create a Zap (zapier integration with Jotform), the "answer" fields are blank. I have several examples stored in the form with the correct information.

It sounds like the issue might be related to how empty fields are handled in your form submissions with Zapier. You might want to check the settings related to hiding empty fields in your email notifications or autoresponders, as this can sometimes affect the data passed through integrations. If you want to explore this further, there's a helpful guide you can access via the button below that walks through relevant settings and tips. Let me know if you need more help with this!

    Hi Ideal,

Thanks for clarifying that there are no empty fields in your form. Since the "answer" fields appear blank in the Zapier integration despite having data, it might be related to how the data is being mapped or retrieved by Zapier from your form submissions.

Let me walk you through some steps to troubleshoot this:

    1. Check Zapier Field Mapping: Ensure that the Zap is correctly mapped to the exact form fields that contain the answers.
    2. Test with a New Submission: Try submitting a new entry on your form and see if the data appears in Zapier.
    3. Review Form Field Types: Some complex field types might require special handling or may not pass data as expected through Zapier.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, please provide more details about the form fields and the Zap setup so I can assist you further.

    Hi Ideal,

Since the previous steps did not resolve the issue, it might be helpful to check a few additional points:

    1. Zapier Trigger Settings: Verify that the trigger in Zapier is set to capture new submissions correctly and that it is connected to the right form.
    2. Form Submission Data: Check the raw submission data in Jotform Tables or Inbox to confirm that the answers are properly recorded there.
    3. Zapier Data Test: In Zapier, use the "Test Trigger" feature to see what data is being pulled from Jotform. This can help identify if the data is missing at the source or during the transfer.

If these checks don’t reveal the cause, please share screenshots or detailed descriptions of your Zap setup and the form fields involved so I can provide more specific guidance.

    Hi Ideal,

Thank you for trying all the suggested steps. Since the issue persists despite these efforts, it may require a deeper investigation into the integration specifics.

At this point, please provide detailed information about your form fields, the exact Zapier setup including triggers and actions, and any error messages or unusual behavior you have noticed. This information will help in diagnosing the root cause more effectively.

Looking forward to your details so I can assist you further.

The information is entered correctly in Jotform, but the fields are empty when connecting to Zapier. I've included 2 screenshots.

    Hi Ideal,

Thank you for providing the screenshots and confirming that the information is entered correctly in Jotform but appears empty when connecting to Zapier.

Based on this, it seems the issue lies specifically in the data transfer between Jotform and Zapier. Here are a few additional suggestions to consider:

    1. Check Zapier Field Types: Ensure that the field types in Zapier match those in your Jotform exactly, as mismatched types can cause data not to appear.
    2. Update Zapier Connection: Try reconnecting or refreshing the Jotform integration in Zapier to ensure it is properly synced.
    3. Use Raw Data: In Zapier, check if there is an option to pull raw submission data or JSON payload to see if the data is present but not mapped correctly.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, please share the screenshots and any additional details about your Zap setup, and I will assist you further.

    Hi Ideal,

Since the issue is still not resolved after trying all the previous suggestions, it might be necessary to review the integration setup in more detail. Sometimes, specific configurations or limitations in Zapier or Jotform can cause such issues.

Could you please provide the following to help diagnose the problem further:

    • A detailed description or screenshots of your Zap setup, including triggers and actions.
    • The types of form fields you are using for the "answer" fields.
    • Any error messages or unusual behavior observed in Zapier during the integration process.

This information will allow me to offer more targeted assistance.

    Hi idealroadside,

I checked our email logs and can confirm that there are data collected from your forms. I also cloned your Callback form and tested it, but I wasn't able to replicate the issue. Check out my screenshot below:
