Jotform Inbox: Edit Comment is missing

    The edit option on my forms are gone. Can this be restored?

    Hi Jimmy,

    I tested this on my end, and as the form owner, I’m able to edit the comments I add in the Inbox. From your screenshot, I noticed that the comment was added under a guest account. Could you confirm how the comment was added? This will help us understand why the edit option isn’t appearing on their side.

    When you mentioned “this app,” can you confirm if you’re referring to the Jotform Mobile App, or is the form embedded in a custom app created with the Jotform App Builder? This will help us narrow down why the edit option isn't showing.

    Hi Jimmy,

    I checked your Inbox and this submission was the only one that had a comment from a guest user which could be related to why the comment is not editable. Can you share a bit more about how that comment was added? For example:

    • Was it added by you while signed in to your account, or by someone else who has access to the Inbox?
    • Do you share this Inbox with collaborators, and if so, are they able to add comments on submissions?

    This will help us try to replicate the issue on our end and determine if the missing edit option is related to account permissions or a specific Inbox setting.

    My assistant created the note and I need to add to the note.
    I have 2 assistants that have access to the account.
    yes, they are able to add

    Hi Jimmy,

    Note that only users who added the comment can edit it. Form owner can only reply or delete. If it works for you, you can just add your note as a reply to this submission.
