How do I fix conditional logic in a 'Fact Find' form I created?

Hi, I am hoping someone can assist me with fixing a condition that I have put into a form I created.

What I have created appears to be correct, however, when it calculates, it adds about 10 decimal places for example if the form said $50 plus $50, the total should be $100, yet the total is putting $10000000.

How can I fix this, as its set to 2 decimal places currently?

    Hi renair,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Upon reviewing your form's logic, it appears that the conditions require the inclusion of arithmetic operations to function as intended. Jotform's conditional logic system supports various mathematical operations, which can be utilized to achieve the desired outcomes in your form.

Thanks for coming back to me, however, I am a little confused as I did have the addition signs added on the left hand side. Do I need to delete them?

    Hi Renai,

Upon checking your form, I found that the plus (+) sign was not added in the calculation conditions. This is a crucial part of the conditional logic for calculations in Jotform. Without the + operator, the form does not know to perform addition, which is why your totals are not calculating correctly.

In Jotform's conditional logic, when you want to add values from different fields, you must explicitly include the + sign between the field references in the Update/Calculate Field condition. This tells the form to add those values together. For example, your condition should look like this:

    Calculate a field's value: {Field1} + {Field2}

Make sure that the plus signs are inside the formula editor of the condition and not just placed as static text on the form fields themselves. Adding the + sign will ensure that the calculations happen correctly and your totals will display as expected.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.

Hi, I have deleted my existing condition and tried to redo it, however, its still not working. Can you please show me how to do the calculation from scratch.

    Hi Renai,

I checked your Condition, and it appears that you have not selected a Summary. Check out my screenshot below:

Image 1 Screenshot 60When setting up the Update/Calculate Field condition for the Input Table, you need to select a Summary where the result will be shown. Let me show you how to create the calculation of the Input Table by setting up an Update/Calculate Field condition:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Settings on the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
    2. Next, select Conditions from the left side window and click on the Pencil icon of your current condition.
    3. Remove the current values. How do I fix conditional logic in a Fact Find form I created? Image 2 Screenshot 71
    4. Click on Add Field and select the Input Table that you need. Add the rows one by one.
    5. Once done, select a Summary and click on Save on the lower right side of the page. How do I fix conditional logic in a Fact Find form I created? Image 3 Screenshot 82

    Hi Lorevie,

Hoping you might be able to assist me with creating a workflow for my form, as I am having trouble with it. I want the form to work as follows:

If the referrer selected on the form = Kelson Didovich, then I want that completed form to be emailed to him

If the referrer selected on the form = Polina Kovaleva, then I want that completed form to be emailed to her

If the referrer selected on the form = Daniel Bonser, then I want that completed form to be emailed to him

    Is this achievable?

Here is the link to my form: ERFS Fact Find - Jotform Form Builder

    Cheers,

    Renai
