About
The Santa Barbara Zoo first opened its doors in 1963. The Zoo is a private, nonprofit organization that relies on contributions from individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations, so it has a close relationship with its community members. A Jotform user since 2012, the Zoo automates a host of internal and customer-facing workflows.
Challenge
The Santa Barbara Zoo had a fun challenge: to name its new baby giraffe. Additionally, the Zoo needed to present a visual representation of the results to its board of directors.
Solution
With Jotform already automating a variety of tasks, the Santa Barbara Zoo created an online voting form so fans of the zoo could have their say.
Results
The Santa Barbara Zoo received more than 2,000 submissions on its form, and the name Malia won. Wendy Campbell, creative/brand manager, created a visual report for the board of directors in one click with Jotform Report Builder.
Everything’s really intuitive
I’m always really grateful when I’m reminded that [real-time changes] are going on because we have a lot of forms embedded in our website. It’s so nice to know that I don’t have to go back to our website and update anything that’s been changed.
