    • After you submit everything, we will send you your Offer Letter, so that you can submit your internship to the OPT portal.

      The effective date of the Offer Letter will be either:

      • the date you submit the last of the required materials, or
      • a later date if you prefer, for instance if you need to wait for your EAD start date.

      In any event, we will endeavor to send the Offer letter within two business days of the time we receive the last of your materials.

      You are allowed ten days from the Effective date of the Offer Letter to file it with the portal, so this gives you plenty of time.

    • Confirmation of First Monthly Payment 
    • We previously had interns use a page on the CtP website to make their monthly payments.

      Unfortunately, some interns were sometimes late making payments, and we were spending too much time reminding them.

      We are therefore moving to a new tool for those payments, and it will have them set up a recurring credit card payment (like a subscription), which will automatically charge you each month. You will be able to turn that off very easily when you leave us.

      That payment tool should be operational by the end of the week of Sep 1, 2025. When it is, we will embed it in this page.

      Until then, please check the box in the following question to request that we notify you when it launches.

    • The Order # should start with "#S-". Please fix that.

    • Our HR interns request that you please put a reminder note in your online calendar to alert yourself to make the monthly payents on the monthly anniversary of your offer letter start date. That will save them from having to take time to remind you.

    • Volunteering Prior to EAD Effective Date 
    • Most interns who apply before having received their EAD card join us as volunteers until they receive it.

      Volunteering is perfectly allowable for F1 students at any time, including in advance of receiving their EAD card. For more info on this, including correspondence from the government, please see:

      • enhance your resume with a record of service and achievement (employers want people who are productive; not ones who sit around)

      If you are willing to start volunteering prior to your EAD effective date, please indicate the start date for volunteeriing below. You do not need an Offer Letter for your volunteering, and you are not required to report your volunteering to either your school or the government. Again, see the link above.
