Hello,
How can we add custom javascript to a form without downloading the source code and adding to our own server? I've read that you don't allow this for security reasons, but almost every other form builder allows this.
I'm testing this tool for my company and we will have many forms to create and we will need a way to add custom javascript onto the forms and to be able to change this javascript globally across all forms instead of one by one. We need to capture specific objects from a user's local storage when they are on our website and filling out our forms, and to pass those objects through the payload to our endpoint. This is why we need to add the javascript to all of our forms. If we make changes to this javascript, we need to make it globally. If we make changes to the form fields on the forms, it would be a lot of work to have to download the source code all over again for these forms to place on our server, along with the custom javascript on our end.
Is there any way to do the above or some kind of workaround?
Thank You,
John Babatsikos

Hello John,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, we currently do not have any other way to add a custom JavaScript code on a Jotform Form. While the feature you’re looking for isn’t currently available, rest assured we’re always working to add new services and features to Jotform.
I've gone ahead and escalated this as a feature request to our Developer Team. When or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.
In the meantime, let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.

Hello,
Just following up here. Has the developer team received this feature request and is there appetite to add it?
Thank You,

Hi John,
Thanks for getting back to us. You can be sure that the feature request was escalated to the related team successfully. Unfortunately, we cannot give you an ETA for that. As my colleague mentioned, the development depends on the team's workload and how many users request it. Once there's an update, we'll inform you in this thread.
Thanks for your understanding and your patience.

Hello,
I wanted to come back to this thread to see if the custom javascript feature request has seen any support from other users and if this is something that is either available today as a feature, or perhaps on the roadmap to be added.
Thank You,
John Babatsikos

Hi John,
There haven’t been any updates yet regarding the custom JavaScript feature request. While we don’t have a public roadmap, our developers track feature requests internally based on team workload and how many users request it. If there are any updates on this feature, we’ll be sure to let you know.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello Aries,
Thank you for the update! Yeah, it's available with other tools so surprised it's not yet available on Jotform. Your form builder is probably one of the most customizable and easy to use out there! Hope this might make it's way into production eventually.
Thanks Again!
