Why is my embedded form’s JavaScript not working on my website?

I have embedded my form into a website, but JavaScript is not working.

The source was injected in the div with id story-injected-script-container and is suppose to work with any included/embedded JavaScript.

However, the elements and conditionals are not working. For example, the Next and Back pages are non-functional. Images in the link do not show up. I'm thinking this must be a limitation of our website.

I might add that the website is currently not live. It may be only accessible within our VPN, so that would explain things.

    Sample page is accessible here:

    Hi Nevada,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Can you send me the link to your form so I can test and check it for you?

You may also try embedding your form on a webpage using the iFrame method. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
    2. In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Embed.
    3. Now, select the iFrame method, and click on Copy Code.
    4. Paste your code into your webpage's embed area, and that’s it.

Take note that iFrame keeps the form fully functional regardless of your site’s limitations. It’s the most reliable way to make sure navigation, conditions, and images work correctly.

Reach out again if you have any other questions.

    Thank you for your response.

So sorry. I'm not using the iFrame embed method here. That method works fine.

However, since I intend on adding a modified JavaScript code to access the word count variable, I have pasted the source into our website. That's where it appears to fail, the elements are there, but no JavaScript code is running, it appears.

    to sample page.

Hope the link works this time.

How do you post links here? They keep disappearing.

    Hi MAJ,

It seems that you're trying to send a sample page, but the link didn’t come through. Can you send it again? Also, could you go to your page and open your browser's Developer Tools Console? Once open, take a screenshot of the Console Report and share it with us. This information will help us identify any errors or issues that may be occurring behind the scenes. Let me show you how:

    1. On your Browser where the error occurs, Right-Click on your Mouse, and then go to Inspect.

    2. Go to the Console tab in your browser's DevTools.

Once you have the screenshot, share it with us so we can investigate further and provide a more precise solution. Just follow our guide on How to Post Screenshots to Our Help Center to learn how. Make sure to test the form with all browser extensions, VPNs, or ad blockers disabled, as these can sometimes interfere with script loading.

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.
