My form will not post to Facebook via the icon on jot form. It will also not post correctly to facebook via copy and paste. The link on facebook takes everyone to messanger. The form doesn't open.
Thanks

Hi Liberty,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:
The issue you're experiencing with your form not posting correctly to Facebook and the link redirecting to Messenger instead of opening the form is related to how Facebook handles link previews and sharing. Jotform supports the Open Graph protocol, which Facebook uses to display shared content, but sometimes the sharing behavior can cause unexpected redirects.
Here’s how to properly share your form on Facebook:
- Go to the Publish tab in your form builder.
- Click Quick Share and select Facebook.
- Log into your Facebook account when prompted and confirm the post.
This method ensures the form is shared with the correct preview and link behavior.
If you are copying and pasting the link manually, make sure the link is the direct form URL and not a Messenger or other redirect link.
Also, consider adding a preview image to your form that meets Facebook's Open Graph image requirements (minimum 200 x 200 px, recommended 1200 x 630 px) to improve how the form appears when shared.
If the problem persists, it might be due to Facebook caching or specific link handling on their side.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi libertycountyanimaladvocates,
I tried to share your form using two messaging platforms. The logo you uploaded is the icon showing when the form is shared. Here are the screenshots you can take a look at:
If you can take a screenshot of what’s happening, that'll help us to understand better what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:
1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.
2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.
3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.
5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.
I've cleared the cache of your forms. I recommend clearing the cache and cookies of the browser you use most of the time before trying again.
That's it. Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

Its not the image. it the jot form itself. The for will not post to facebook via the facebook icon on jotform. It will post when I copy and paste it. but when you click on it in facebook it takes you to facebook messages. not to the form itself

Hi libertycountyanimaladvocates,
Are you referring to the Share on Facebook feature under the Publish tab? I tested it on my end, and it redirects me to create a post. Let's walk through this together:
- In Form Builder, on the orange navigation bar on top, go to the Publish tab.
- While you're in Quick Share, click on the Facebook icon on the Share Form.
- A browser window will open, redirecting you to Create Post.
Are you following the same steps shown above? If yes, can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing on your end?
When we hear back from you, we’ll be ready to move forward.
