Specific Use Case for Product Order Form

    Hi!

I work for a CPG company sold in grocery stores nationwide. When pitching to new retailers, our brokers will often send product samples. Currently, we field all these requests via email, but I'd like to find a way to automate it via form submission. Specifically one that sends all the pertinent information to either our Shopify where it creates an order free of charge and sends it to our fulfillment center, or more preferably, our Shipstation account, where it would simply print out the label at our fulfillment center without interrupting our sales data on Shopify. There are workarounds we could use with Shopify, like creating hidden "sample" SKUs that the form calls on, but Shipstation would be more simple.

I like the formatting capabilities or your product order form as it allows the person filling out the form to view all SKUs in a way that isn't cumbersome. My only issue is I don't need payment at the end, just data transfer. Would it be possible to create a custom form like this?

Thanks so much for your time!

    Kelly

    Hi Kelly,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

It is possible to create a custom product order form in Jotform that does not require payment at the end. You can design the form to collect all the necessary information about the product samples without including a payment field.

Regarding integration, while Jotform supports various payment gateways, for your specific use case of sending order data to Shopify or Shipstation without payment, you would typically use integration tools or APIs to connect your form submissions to these platforms. For example, you could set up automation that sends the form data to your Shopify store to create free sample orders or to Shipstation to print shipping labels at your fulfillment center.

This approach allows you to maintain your sales data on Shopify uninterrupted while handling sample orders efficiently through Shipstation or Shopify with hidden SKUs as you mentioned.

If you want, we can assist you in creating such a custom form and guide you on possible integration options.

Let us know if you'd like to proceed with creating this form or need further details.
