How do I change the header in the inbox for existing forms.
some of our existing forms show the number of the submission in the inbox, while other forms show the name of the applicant as the header and their email address as the subheader in the inbox
I have tried to change the header and subheader that reflects in the inbox, but to no avail
the form that shows the number submission doesn't have a unique id tied to it, so I don't know why the number is reflected
Once I figure out how to change the header and subheader in the inbox, can it be done to all existing submissions, or must it be done individually?
How do I change it for future submissions?
I have looked at several posts, videos, etc. but cannot figure this out...

Hi Comms,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with changing the header and subheader in the inbox for your existing forms.
In Jotform Mobile Forms, you can change the submission headings (which appear as the header and subheader in the inbox) by following these steps:
- Open Jotform Mobile Forms and select your form, then go to Submissions.
- Choose an entry from the submissions list.
- Click the vertical ellipsis icon (three dots) in the upper-right corner and select View Settings.
- Select the fields you want to use as the header and subheader for the inbox display.
- Save your changes by clicking the back icon in the upper-left corner.
Regarding your question about whether this change applies to all existing submissions or must be done individually: the header and subheader settings you configure will apply to all submissions for that form, not just new ones. So once you change it, it will reflect across all existing submissions in the inbox.
For future submissions, the header and subheader will automatically use the fields you have set in the View Settings, so no additional action is needed for each new submission.
If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

This is not for Jotform Mobile Forms, it is for a computer/pc form and I am not provided the option of "View Settings"

Hi Comms,
Thanks for the clarification that you are using Jotform on a computer/PC and not the mobile app. In the web version of Jotform Inbox, the header and subheader for submissions are determined by the form fields set as the primary and secondary display fields in the Inbox settings.
To change the header and subheader in the Inbox for your existing forms on the web, follow these steps:
- Open your Jotform account on your computer and go to the Inbox for the specific form.
- Click on the gear icon (Settings) usually located at the top right of the Inbox page.
- In the Settings panel, find the option for Header and Subheader fields or similar naming. Here you can select which form fields to display as the header and subheader in the Inbox.
- Select the desired fields such as the applicant's name for the header and email address for the subheader.
- Save your changes. These changes will apply to all existing submissions in that form's Inbox.
For future submissions, the Inbox will automatically use the fields you set as header and subheader.
If the form is showing the submission number instead of a unique ID or name, it might be because no specific field has been set as the header, so the system defaults to the submission number.
Try these steps and see if it resolves the issue. If you still cannot find the settings or the problem persists, please let me know.
