I currently need help setting up the condition equation in my jotform input table.

i currently have a dropdown in my table where you can choose: equipment, other, supplies, social media, etc. The table allows multiple line items. I want people to be able to enter in all of their cost and choose from the dropdown. Then I want the table to automatically add up the cost by each dropdown choice.

So, I want in space & Facility to sum up every line item from program expense category. The Same for Equipment and the same for other, etc.

Right now, it is not working correctly because i am putting in the equation incorrectly.

    Hi Shannon,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, calculating running costs based on the dropdown values is not yet possible.

Consider alternative approaches such as creating different input tables for each expense category then using the calculation widgets or conditions to sum those values accordingly. Let me show you an example:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Element button on the left, and click on the Input Table.
    2. Next, customize the Input Builder for a specific category.

    3. Click on your Form Calculation widget, and on the Wand icon next to it.
    4. Use the Add Field button, and select your input table cells.
    5. Then, use the Add operator button, and click on the Save button and that's it.
    6. Repeat the same for other categories.
