How do I encrypt a smart PDF Form? How do I download a smart PDF form to include the attachments people uploaded as well on the same document in a big size?

    Hi Nicole,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

To encrypt a Smart PDF Form:

    1. Go to the Form Builder and open your form.
    2. Navigate to the Settings tab.
    3. Click on Emails on the left panel.
    4. Select the email template where you want to attach the PDF.
    5. Go to the Advanced tab. Here, you will find the option to enable the PDF attachment and set a password for the PDF by checking the "Enable PDF Password" option.
    6. Set a strong password and save the changes. If you enable this for autoresponder emails, remember to inform your users of the password so they can open the PDF.

To download a Smart PDF Form including attachments uploaded by users:

Currently, Jotform Smart PDF Forms allow you to generate the original PDF with the form responses. However, attachments uploaded by users are not embedded inside the same PDF file but are sent as separate attachments in notification emails.

To get all attachments in one place, you can download the original PDF and separately download the uploaded files from your Jotform Tables or Inbox.

If you want a larger size or higher quality PDF, you can adjust the PDF settings in the PDF Editor before downloading.

Unfortunately, there is no direct way to combine uploaded attachments inside the same Smart PDF form document in a large size.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

How do I download a PDF version with the uploads in a big size from a regular form? I formatted the customize PDF but how do I save that and download each submission like that each time? The download button is greyed out.

    Hi Nicole,

To download a customized PDF version of each submission with uploads in a larger size from a regular form, here’s how you can do it:

    1. Open your form in Jotform and go to the Submissions page.
    2. Click on More and select Open PDF Editor. This will open the customized PDF layout you created.
    3. In PDF Editor, click on the Download button at the top-right corner. If your form has multiple submissions, you will see options to download a single submission or all submissions as PDFs.
    4. Select the desired option to download the PDFs. This will download the submissions with your customized PDF format including the uploads.

If the Download button is greyed out, it may be due to a temporary issue or browser-related problem. Try refreshing the page, clearing your browser cache, or using a different browser to see if the button becomes active.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Nicole,

It's really easy to download your PDF files. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon at the top-left side of the page and select PDF Editor.

    2. In PDF Editor, click on the Download button at the top-right side of the page.

    3. In the dropdown menu, click on Download PDF or Download All. That's it.

The Download PDF button will only download the PDF you are currently viewing in the PDF Editor. If you use the Download All button, it will email you a zip file containing all submissions in PDF format. Take a look at the screenshots below to see my examples:

Example of how it looks when you open the document downloaded via the Download PDF button:

Example of how it appears in the email when you click on the Download All button:

After that, you can easily download your attachments from Jotform Tables. Let me show you how:

    1. In your My Workspace page, select the form whose attachments that you want to download, and click on the Submissions button at the top.

    2. In Tables, on the upper-right side of the page, click on the Download All button.

    3. Then, select Download Attachments from the options, and click on the Ok, Got It button.

    Hi There,
Thank you for your response. I tried that and it is not working. I want to be able to download the PDF of a single form individually. When I try to download from the inbox, download is greyed out. I don't see any download option either from PDF editor.
I'm not looking to use the download all/zip file feature as this would have sensitive information I don't want to be emailed.
Let me know what I can do to download the PDF, below is what I am seeing and getting stuck. Thank you for your help!
