    Hi Minh,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. At the moment, it's not possible to set the product quantity to 0 by default in the Product List field. This is because a product must be selected with a valid quantity in order to be added to the cart. In the past, we received reports that users were selecting products but forgetting to enter a quantity. As a result, the selected items weren’t added or processed. To prevent this, the Product List was updated to set the default quantity to 1. This ensures that as soon as a product is selected, it's automatically added to the cart without requiring manual input unless the user wants to increase the quantity. If you look at the screencast below, the product is added to the cart only when it is selected.

    Dear Ravi,
Thank you so much for your kind promt reply with detailed explanation.
I have a suggestion if we could set the beginning unselected products with
0 and whenever any product selected, it turns default 1 as your solution to
prevent customer forgetting put value to selected products. Is it possible?
    Thank you

    Dear Ravi,

Or 1 more way. If there is any selected product without quantity set, will be warned and prevented to submit.

Thank you for your kind consideration.

    Best regards

    Minh

    Hello Minh,

Thanks for getting back to us. I understand that you need to set 0 as the default value of an item within the Product List. Currently, this is an unavailable option.

We've gone ahead and escalated your request to our developers. Exactly when or if it's developed depends on their workload, how viable it is, and how many other users also request it. If there are any updates, we’ll circle back to this thread and let you know.

Thanks for your patience and understanding, we appreciate it.

    Hi Minh,

Thank you for the thoughtful suggestions regarding the Product List field’s default quantity behavior. The ideas you shared—such as having unselected products begin with a quantity of 0 that updates to 1 once selected, as well as providing a warning if a selected product has no quantity set before submission—have been noted and appreciated.

As mentioned earlier, the Product List field is currently designed to require a minimum quantity of 1 so that products are properly added to the cart and processed. Your feedback has been escalated to our developers for further consideration. The implementation of such features will depend on both feasibility and the level of demand from other users.

Any progress or changes related to this functionality will be shared with you. In the meantime, should further assistance be needed, please feel free to reach out.
