Good evening!!
I consulted the AI support agent about this already, but came up empty-handed.
On my current form, I'm not using a product list to calculate the total prices for my customers. The AI agent told me that it's possible to include shipping costs in that total, but I was unable to find the shipping tab that it kept referring me back to.
I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong? If you could walk me through the process of adding in shipping costs to my form, that would be much appreciated :)
Thanks so much,
Elliot Stevens.

Hi Elliot,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with adding shipping costs to your form without using a product list.
In Jotform, the shipping feature is typically enabled through the payment settings when you have product items added. Since you are not using a product list, the usual shipping tab in the payment settings won't appear.
Here’s what you can do instead:
- Add a form calculation field to manually calculate the total price including shipping.
- Add a shipping cost field (for example, a dropdown or radio button) where customers can select their shipping option or you can set a fixed shipping cost.
- Use the Form Calculation widget to add the shipping cost value to your total price field.
This way, you can control the shipping cost independently from a product list and still include it in the total price calculation.
If you want to use Jotform’s built-in shipping feature, it requires using the product list in the payment integration where you can enable shipping and choose between per product item or flat rate per transaction.
Let me know if you want detailed steps on setting up the calculation fields or using the shipping feature with product lists.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hello Elliot,
If I understood it correctly, you want to add a shipping fee? If so, can you confirm if the shipping fee is a fixed amount? If it is, then you can just add it to your total amount in this form and add a conditional question with calculation values so it will be calculated. Let me show you how:
- First, add a field you can use for the condition. In this case, I added a Single Choice field.
- Now on the field properties, under Calculation Values on the Options Tab, add the shipping fee to the number field for the Yes selection.
- Now, on your Calculation Field Formula for your total, you just need to add that field:
After that, it should calculate the total with the shipping if the user selected Yes.
Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

That makes a lot of sense!! However, I worry about international shipping fees. I plan on using the same packaging for each item I intend to sell, but I know that shipping internationally ups that price by a lot.
Is there a way to calculate this shipping fee automatically?

Hi Elliot,
You can separate the country from the Address field and make it a Dropdown element, adding a calculation value, which will be the international shipping fee. Let me show you how to do this:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element from the left side window and select Dropdown from the Basic tab.
- Click on the Gear icon of the Dropdown element and enter your preferred Field Label from the General tab.
- From the Options tab, enter the names of the countries.
- Toggle on the Calculation Values option and enter the shipping fee of each country.
Let's now add this to the Bracelet Total field:
- In Form Builder, click on the Wand icon of the Bracelet Total field.
- Click on Add Field and add the Dropdown element you have added.
- Lastly, click on Save at the bottom of the page.
Let us know if you need any other help.
