I have created a background check authorization form using JotForm. Upon completion, I don't want to send a copy of the completed form to me or the person who completed the form. I've got everything to work, but I'm still getting the PDF completed form. Can I stop that? I don't want anyone's social security number going through email. I don't mind the notification with the "view form" link in it. I just don't want a PDF of the form.

Hi Larry,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:
To stop sending the PDF attachment of the completed form in the notification email, you need to disable the PDF attachment option in your email settings. Here’s how to do it:
- Go to your Form Builder and click on Settings on the orange bar at the top.
- Select Emails from the left panel, then click the Pencil icon to edit your Notification email template.
- Click on the Advanced tab and disable the PDF attachment option.
- Save your changes.
This way, you will still receive the notification with the "view form" link, but without the PDF attachment containing sensitive information like social security numbers.
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I've done that multiple times and I'm still getting a PDF copy. Can I contact a live agent?

Hi Larry,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'll be happy to look into this issue for you.
I understand you're attempting to disable outgoing emails containing the completed forms to neither yourself or the user that submitted the form and that you've already attempted to disable the PDF attachment option and yet you're still receiving it. That's definitely strange and I'd like to look deeper into it.
Would you mind confirming the exact form (you can collect the form ID) you are experiencing this issue with so I can try and replicate the issue on my end?

Thanks for confirming that for me, Larry.
Right now there isn’t a way to turn off email notifications when Jotform Sign automation is enabled. I’ve escalated your request to our Developer Team so they’re aware. Whether and when it gets built will depend on their queue, feasibility, and how many similar requests come in. If there’s any change, we’ll update you right here.
In the meantime, as a workaround, you can disable the automatic email by disabling Jotform Sign automation in your form. Let me show you how:
- In Form Builder, click on Settings in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
- In the menu on the left side of the page, click on Jotform Sign.
- Then toggle off the Enable Jotform Sign Automation to turn OFF.
I would suggest giving that a try for now. Let me know if you have any questions.

Not a problem, Larry.
In this case, since the Jotform Sign feature would be disabled, the special signing functionality provided by it (Jotform Sign) such as capturing a legally binding digital signature with validation would be disabled, as well. Essentially, the signature without Jotform Sign enabled won't have the same legal or verification status as it would if it were enabled.
So having having a verification statement could help, I believe, however I would consult internally with your legal team on how to proceed exactly.
