    Hello,

When exporting to PDF, everything looks right on PDF Editor, but when the file is physically exported to PDF, it looks different. Example: "Packing Slip" is one page, but when downloaded direct from PDF Editor or uploaded to OneDrive through the link, the downloaded PDF is 2 pages.

    Hi EnzoP,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

When exporting to PDF, if the exported file looks different from what you see in PDF Editor (such as the "Packing Slip" appearing as one page in the editor but two pages in the downloaded PDF), it may be due to the PDF document needing to be updated after form changes.

    Here’s how to fix it:

    1. Go to Form Builder and click the dropdown icon on the upper left side of the page.
    2. Select PDF Editor from the dropdown menu.
    3. Click Add New PDF button on the blue bar at the top.
    4. Choose Use Default Layout on the popup screen.
    5. Delete the old PDF Document tab to avoid confusion and start using the new version of your form's PDF document.

This process ensures your exported PDF matches what you see in the PDF Editor.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hours were put into that form. Is there another way instead of deleting and starting over?

    Hi EnzoP,

Thanks for your follow-up. If you want to avoid deleting and starting over in PDF Editor, you can try updating the existing PDF document instead of creating a new one.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Open PDF Editor for your form.
    2. Review the layout and elements to identify any sections or fields that might be causing the extra page.
    3. Adjust the size or spacing of elements, such as reducing margins, resizing images, or rearranging fields to better fit the content on one page.
    4. Check for page breaks or section breaks that might be forcing content onto a new page and remove or adjust them.
    5. Save your changes and export the PDF again to see if the issue is resolved.

This way, you can keep your existing PDF document and make necessary adjustments without starting from scratch.

Yeah, I had to delete the PDF Editor I was working on and start over. Not ideal. Spent 6 hours working on that form export. Done now.
