the problem is, the new pdf is not showing in the tables submission area....its the basic pdf form.

how do i get the new pdf to display in the submission tables area?

    Hi Ned,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

When you create a new PDF for your form, it is designed primarily for emailing or downloading and does not automatically appear in the submission tables area. The submission tables display the form data itself, not the PDF documents.

If you want to view or manage PDFs related to submissions, you can access them through the Submissions page by opening individual submissions and downloading or viewing the PDF there.

Unfortunately, the new PDF you created won't show as a separate column or item directly in the Tables view.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi Ned,

Let me walk you through how to access and manage PDFs from your submissions:

    1. Go to My Forms and select the form you are working with.
    2. Click on Submissions (usually found on the top menu or by clicking the form's More options).
    3. In the Submissions page, select an individual submission to open its details.
    4. Look for the PDF icon or a button labeled Download PDF or View PDF to access the PDF document for that specific submission.

This way, you can view or download the new PDF you created for each submission.

    Hi Ned,

The new PDF you created for your form is primarily designed for emailing or downloading and does not automatically appear as an option to view in the submissions page or tables area. This is because the submission tables and submissions page focus on displaying the form data itself, not the PDFs.

Currently, Jotform does not support displaying custom PDFs directly within the submission tables or as selectable options in the submissions view. The PDFs are meant to be accessed via email attachments or downloaded individually from each submission.

If you want to provide easy access to the PDF, you might consider attaching it to the autoresponder or notification emails, or adding a link to the PDF on the Thank You page of your form.

    Hi Ned,

To download the PDF individually from each submission, follow these steps:

    1. Go to My Forms and select your form.
    2. Click on Submissions to open the submissions page.
    3. Select a specific submission by clicking on it to open the detailed view.
    4. In the submission details, look for a Download PDF button or a PDF icon. Clicking this will download the PDF document related to that submission.

If you do not see the new PDF option there, it means the custom PDF you created is not linked to the submissions view for direct download. In this case, the PDF is primarily accessible through email notifications or autoresponders where it is attached.

    Hi Ned,

Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to display a generated PDF document directly inside the Tables submission area. Jotform Tables is designed to show raw submission data, so custom or newly created PDFs won’t appear there. At this time, only PDFs uploaded by users through an File upload field are visible in Jotform Tables.

The custom PDF you designed will still work as expected when sent through your Autoresponder or Notification Emails, and you can also access or download it anytime from the PDF Editor or Inbox. If you’d like your new PDF to be used consistently, you can set it as the default document in the PDF Editor so it’s the one included in email attachments and downloads.

If that’s not quite what you’re looking for, can you share a bit more info so I can help you better?

Keep us updated and let us know if you need any more help.
