    Good morning, how are you?

I’m having issues with my access. Even with all permissions granted, I’m not able to assign a form to my email. Could you please help me with this matter?

    Sincerely,

    Barbara

    Hi Barbara,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Let me help you with that:

If you are having issues assigning a form to your email despite having all permissions granted, please ensure that the form ownership and permissions are correctly set. Note that while you can transfer forms to another account along with submission data, the ownership will belong to the new email address, and the old email address will no longer have access to the assets and data of the account.

For detailed steps on how to transfer your forms and data to another account, you can refer to our guide on How to transfer or share forms and data with another account.

If this does not resolve your issue or if you need further assistance, please provide more details about the problem you are facing.

Reach out again if you need any other help.

Although the rest of the team has the same permissions as I do, I still don’t have access to transfer the ownership of the form.

    Hi Barbara,

Thanks for the additional information. Please note that even if team members have the same permissions, the ability to transfer form ownership is limited to the current form owner. Transferring ownership is not the same as having permissions to edit or manage the form.

Currently, Jotform does not support transferring account ownership between users or merging accounts. However, you can change the email address associated with the account, which effectively transfers ownership of all forms and submission data to the new email address. The old email address will no longer have access to the account's assets and data.

If changing the account email is not suitable, you can transfer individual forms along with their submission data to another account. For detailed instructions, please refer to our guide on How to transfer or share forms and data with another account.

If you need further clarification or assistance, please provide more details about your specific situation.

Reach out again if you need any other help.

    Hi Barbara,

Currently, Jotform does not allow setting yourself as the owner of a form unless you are the original owner. Ownership of a form is tied to the account that created it. If you need to have ownership of the form, the current owner must transfer the form to your account.

Alternatively, you can change the email address associated with your Jotform account, which will transfer ownership of all forms and submission data to the new email address. Keep in mind that the old email address will lose access to the account's assets and data.

For transferring forms to another account along with submission data, please refer to our guide on How to transfer or share forms and data with another account.

If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please provide more details about your situation.

    Hi Barbara,

Thank you for clarifying your request. In Jotform Inbox, when form responses arrive, the email address shown as responsible or the recipient of notifications is typically the one associated with the form's notification settings or the account owner.

If you want the responses in the submission inbox to show your email as the responsible one, you need to ensure that your email is set as the recipient in the form's notification email settings.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Go to your form's Settings tab.
    2. Select Emails.
    3. Edit the Notification email.
    4. In the Recipient section, set your email address as the recipient.
    5. Save the changes.

This way, the submissions will notify your email, and in Jotform Inbox, you will see your email as the responsible one for those responses.

If you need help with setting this up or have further questions, please provide more details.

    Hi Barbara,

To clarify, are you trying to log in to your colleague's account to assign your own email address to the form? If that's not the case, can you explain a bit more so we can help you better with this? You can also send us a screen recording of what is happening on your end so we can look into it. You can upload it to Google Drive, Dropbox, or record with Loom and send us the link.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with the solution.
