This billing box could work great with the exception that it won’t allow me to do fractional entries like .25 or .5. It's currently in my form: https://www.jotform.com/build/252586911780162

Is there a way to do this using this calculator or do I need to use something else? Thank You!

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I’m not sure I understand. Can you confirm if you're referring to this number field on your form?

How to add fractional entries like Screenshot 30If so, you should be able to type in values like .25 or .50 without any issue. Take a look at the screencast below:

How to add fractional entries like Screenshot 41 If you're referring to the Product List field instead, you can also set your item prices with decimals. But, if you meant something else, could you clarify which field you're working with so we can check it further?

After we hear back from you, we’ll know what’s going on and how to help.

    Hi Jeff,

Regarding the billing box you shared, it appears to be a number field configured for currency input. This field should indeed allow fractional entries like .25 or .5 without any issues. To ensure you can enter fractional values, please check the following settings in your number field:

    • Decimal Places: Make sure the field allows decimal numbers by setting the decimal places to the desired number (e.g., 2 for cents).
    • Input Validation: Confirm that there are no restrictions preventing decimal inputs.
    • Currency Format: If you want to display currency symbols, verify that the currency format is correctly set.

If these settings are correct, and you still face issues entering fractional values, you might want to try removing and re-adding the field or testing it in a different browser to rule out any temporary glitches.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

I think I might see the problem. The currency amounts are whole dollar amounts, but I need the quantities to be in fractions. Could that be what's causing the issue?

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for your clarification. In Jotform, the quantity fields in billing or product list items typically accept whole numbers only. This means that while you can set prices with decimal values (like $0.25 or $0.50), the quantity itself usually does not support fractional entries such as 0.25 or 0.5.

If you need to allow fractional quantities, you might need to consider alternative approaches, such as using a number field separately to capture fractional quantities and then use calculation fields to compute the total price based on that input.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.
