Hide the amount shown in the payment processor Image 1 Screenshot 20

    Hi,

Is it possible for me to hide the authorization amount on the forms? Would I need to contact authorize.net to get the ability to do this?

If no, can you please help me find a solution for my issue: I only know the price of products I sell after the customer places the order, when everything is weighed and calculated. I just want to make sure that the customer's card is valid on checkout, and to charge after the order has been made. Can I do something like this with Jotforms?

    Hi Aaronsfood,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

You can indeed set up your Jotform to only authorize the customer's card at checkout without charging it immediately. This feature is called Payment Authorization or Charge Customer Later and is available with several payment gateways including Authorize.Net.

Here’s how you can enable it:

    1. In the Form Builder, click the Payment element on your form.
    2. Open Payment Settings and then click the Cog Wheel icon to access integration settings.
    3. Scroll to Additional Gateway Settings and toggle the Authorization Only option to Yes.
    4. Save the changes by clicking the Continue button.

This will authorize the card to ensure it is valid without charging the customer immediately. You can then charge the customer later once you know the final amount after weighing and calculating the order.

You do not need to contact Authorize.Net for this ability as it is supported within Jotform's payment integration settings.

Let us know if you need help with the setup or have any other questions.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi aaronsfood,

The amount shown in the payment processor is based on the product prices set on the items you added on the form. Now, if you want to hide it from the users, it would defeat the purpose of the product calculation. But, you can set the products to be charged at a later time. You can easily charge your customers for products or services at a later date. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on your Product List field, and click on the Wand icon (If you have a Product List without a payment gateway, the icon will be a Shopping Cart icon).
    2. In the menu on the right side of the page, click on the Gear icon in the top-right corner.
    3. Next, click on Additional Gateway Settings, scroll down to Charge Customer Immediately, and toggle it Off.
    4. Then, click on Continue on the bottom-right side of the screen.

This will authorize the payment and won't charge the customer right away after submitting the form. Now, let me show you how to capture the authorized payments:

    1. While in Form Builder, click on the Downward Arrow icon on the top-left side of the page and select Tables.
    2. In the Jotform Submission Table, find the submission you want to charge for, and click on Charge Now under the Charge Customer column
    3. Then, in the window that pops up, click on Charge Now again to confirm.
