    Hi Arlette,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Unfortunately, it is not possible to clear the selection of one Single Choice field when a user selects an option in another Single Choice field. If both fields trigger the condition, the hidden fields will be shown.

Can you explain more about how you would like to set it up so I can provide the correct workaround? Would you like to hide the other hidden field when a choice from Humanos or Animales is selected? Should the user be able to select only one option, either from Humanos or Animales, but not both?

Once we have a better idea of what’s going on, we’ll be able to come up with a solution.

What I need to do is, first, users can only select one option between the "Humans" and "Animals" buttons. That is, when they select an option from the "Humans" button, the selection from the "Animals" button should be cleared, and the same should happen if they select an option from the "Animals" button.

Now, each option in both buttons has an associated descriptive text which should only be displayed when the corresponding option is selected. If the option is changed, the previous text should be hidden and the new one shown. It is important that users can navigate between the different options and read the descriptive texts, regardless of whether they select an option from the "Animals" button or the "Humans" button.

    Hi Arlette,

Unfortunately, Single Choice elements can’t be cleared based on another element’s selection. Since they’re treated as separate elements, choosing an option in one won’t affect the other. That’s why the options under Humanos and Animales don’t uncheck each other. Would it work in your flow to combine all options into a single Single Choice element, and then label them clearly under Humanos and Animales? Here’s a sample screenshot:

Then, you can spread the single column into two columns, which is easy to set up. Let me show how it is done:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder, click on your Single Choice element, and then click on the Gear icon.
    2. In the Single Choice Properties menu, click on the Options tab
    3. Scroll down and toggle Spread to Column to the On position, and you're done.
