We are running into the issue where a form is filled out - and it moves into our "Board" section of Jotform. We add notes to these submissions or a period of time until we have all the information we need. From there we move the submission from a folder called "waiting" to a folder called "done" - all still within the "Boards" section of Jotform. Lately, submissions have been getting deleted. Wondering how to fix this.

    Hi mhcafecreative,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding your issue with submissions getting deleted in the Boards section of Jotform, it is important to check if the submissions might have been accidentally deleted or moved to the Trash. You can restore deleted tasks from the Trash section of your Jotform Board and reassign them to their original group.

Here’s how to restore deleted tasks on Jotform Boards:

    1. Go to the Trash section of your Jotform Board where deleted tasks are stored temporarily.
    2. Locate the deleted submissions that you want to recover.
    3. Restore the tasks and reassign them to the appropriate group or folder such as your "waiting" or "done" folder.

This should help prevent losing important submission data when managing your Boards.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

When I check for the submission in the "Trash" or "Archive" folder - they are not located there either.

    Hi mhcafecreative,

Since the submissions are not found in the Trash or Archive folders, it suggests that they might have been permanently deleted or there could be an issue with how submissions are being managed within your Boards.

Unfortunately, once submissions are permanently deleted, they cannot be recovered through the usual Trash or Archive recovery options.

To help prevent this from happening in the future, please ensure that no automated processes or integrations are deleting submissions unintentionally. Also, review user permissions and actions within the Boards to check if submissions are being deleted manually.

If this issue persists, it may require further investigation by our support team to identify any underlying causes or bugs related to submission deletion in Boards.

Let us know if you need guidance on checking permissions or integrations related to your Boards.

    Hi mhcafecreative,

Submissions should never be deleted simply by moving them between folders like waiting and done. If entries are disappearing, it may be due to accidental deletion, filter settings, or a sync issue. Can you check the Trash/Archive section in your Board to see if the submissions are there? Restoring a deleted task from your group in Jotform Boards is easy. Let me show you how:

    1. On your Jotform Board, click on Board Settings in the top-right corner of the page.

    2. In the menu that opens, click on Trash.

    3. Then, hover your mouse over the deleted Task, and tick the checkbox in the upper-left corner of it to select that specific Task, or tick the checkbox for Select All at the top to select all the deleted Tasks, and then click on Restore.

    4. Finally, drag and drop the restored Task from the first group to their previous group.
