    Hello -

I am creating a Spanish version of my form and I cannot figure out how to change the default translation below, which is a a strangely formal way of saying it:

    to: Elige, por favor

Can you please let me know where this can be corrected?

    Thanks!

    Hi ElAly,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

It's easy to translate an existing form into another language and customize the default translations. Let me walk you through it:

    1. Open your form in Form Builder, and in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Settings.
    2. Click on the Show More Options button, scroll down to the Form Languages section, and click on the Edit button.
    3. Select your form's main language from the dropdown menu.
    4. Click on the Add Language button to add Spanish or the language you want to translate to.
    5. Translate the fields and default texts that haven't been automatically translated, including the formal phrase you want to change.
    6. Check the Form Warnings tab to see and edit any untranslated or default translated texts.

When users select Spanish while filling out your form, they will see your customized translations instead of the default ones.
