Copying not as easy

    Hello,

We copied a form as a second page with different labels, however, the cells logical conditions are not working smoothly.

The conditions (formulas) do not appear as they should. After many attempts, we deleted and restarted the conditions. The issue persists.

Kindly advise as we need to duplicate the form/page several times with different labels.

Question: does editing a condition rearranges its order among other conditions? Also, is there a way to display the condition's name on the condition's list instead of having to click open it to identify it, please?

    Thank you.

    Hi bandarx69,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support.

    • About copying the form/page with different labels: When you copy a form or page, each field gets a new unique ID. Since conditions are connected to those IDs, the logic may not copy over correctly. That’s why you’re seeing issues even after re-creating the conditions - they need to be mapped again to the new fields.
    • Does editing a condition change its order?: No. If you edit a condition, it stays in the same place. The order will only change if you manually drag and drop conditions to a different position in the list.
    • Can conditions have names in the list?: Not at the moment. Conditions are shown only by their logic, so to check which one is which, you’ll need to expand them. A common workaround is to group similar conditions together or keep a short external list with your own labels.

For more details, you can check this guideline: Smart Forms: Conditional Logic for Online Forms. In the meantime, you can also share your form link (e.g. https://www.jotform.com/build/xxxx) so we can take a closer look and help you better.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

I did delete all copied conditions, recreated them. Does this not create a new field ID? If not, how to remap them, please?

    Thank you.
