Hi there,
Is it possible to take the field values and use them later in the form?
Example: One of the first fields in many forms is the person's name.
I'd like to personalize the form with the values from that field later. I'd like it to say "FIRST_NAME, you chose option .... " or "Dear SALUTATION LAST_NAME, thank you for completing the form", etc
I don't seem to find a way to do that within the form, please advise.
Thank you

Hi Arty,
Thanks for reaching out to us for help. You can use the Tables Prefill feature to prefill, let's say Formb B, with the data from Form A. To do this, Form B should have the Full Name field. Let me show you how to set up Tables Prefill:
1. In Form Builder, click on Publish in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page.
2. Select Prefill from the menu on the left, and select Tables Prefill from the options.
3. From the Select a Table dropdown, select the form where the data should come from.
4. Match the fields that you want to prefill, and click on Save Settings at the bottom.
5. Click on the Add a New Prefill button.
6. Select the entry where the data should come from, and click on Create in the top-right corner of the page.
Now, to share the prefilled form, you can click on the Prefill field's Three Dots icon, like you see in the screencast below:
Lastly, since you mentioned that you want the form to have a field like Dear First Name, and the like, you can add use the Paragraph element. This would capture the data prefilled in ne Full Name field. Let me walk you through it:
1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element in the upper-left corner of the page.
2. Under the Basic tab, select Paragraph, and then click on the field's Pencil icon to enter your desired text.
3. Click on the Form Fields dropdown on the menu at the top, and then select Full Name from the menu.
4. Once done, click on the Encircled Checkmark icon on the right.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you, however that does not address my question.
My question is about using a value from one of the fields later in the *same* form, not a different one later.
Thanks

Hi Arty,
You can still use the Tables Prefill feature that my colleague shared, but this time, you can select the same form that you're using for the source of data instead of a different form. If that’s not quite what you’re looking for, can you share a bit more info so I can help you better?
Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Hi Anna (and Eliza)
If I understand correctly, it means I have to create a new table for every form where I would like to use this functionality.
Is that correct?

Hi Arty,
The Tables Prefill feature shared earlier is designed for prefilling fields from data stored in tables or other forms before the user starts filling out the form, but it does not dynamically update within the same form during completion.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Hello all, appreciate the responses
Can this ticket become a feature request? I realize this functionality may not be a high priority but I should hope one day it'll make it into the forms.
Thanks for the help

Hi Arty,
This feature is already available through the steps shared by my teammates. To clarify, is this the same form you'd like to prefill the data from a previously submitted one? We have another Prefill that might work for you. You can check this link to get more details about Form Prefill.
Keep us updated and let us know if you require additional help.
