Hi, I would like to ask if there is any way to find the location of the submission sender.
In case I would like to use it for internal purposes like when sales meeting with customer and want to verified their jobs with lattitude and longtitude .

I found a widget with geolocation, but it doesn't have a button to locate its location.

    Hi Kornphakrist,

Thanks for reaching out to us for help. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

You can capture the location of submission senders using Jotform Mobile Forms with location widgets such as Location Coordinates, GPS Location, or Geolocation. These widgets can record latitude and longitude from respondents who agree to share their location.

    Here’s how to do it:

    1. Click on the Add Form Element button in the Form Builder.
    2. Go to the Widgets tab and search for "location."
    3. Select and configure the widget that suits your needs, such as the Geolocation widget.

Note that most location widgets are powered by Google Maps, so you may need a Google Maps API key to enable this feature.

This setup will allow you to verify jobs with latitude and longitude during sales meetings or other internal purposes.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Hi kornphakrist.k.pd,

The Geolocation widget should work in your use case. I made a test submission and the widget works as expected. Take a look at the screenshot below:

Make sure that you added your Google Maps API Key in the widget. If you share the link to your form, I can check it out and help you with a solution. You can easily find your form's URL in Form Builder. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
    2. In the Quick Share tab, click on Copy Link in the Share With Link section.

    Hi kornphakrist.k.pd,

You can enable the Allow Manual Entry option, where an input field will be shown below the map to pinpoint the location in real time of the Geolocation widget. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Geolocation widget, then click on the Wand Icon.

    2. Enable the Allow Manual Entry option, then once done, click on the Update button.

    Hi kornphakrist.k.pd,

I checked, and I'm afraid there is no widget where you can use a button to locate a user's location. In the Geolocation widget, you can only collect location data based on IP address. The same with the Address Map Locator widget, where their location will be collected automatically.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

You can use the browser’s geolocation API with a “Locate me” button to grab latitude/longitude and save it with the submission. If permission’s denied, you could fall back to IP-based location, though it’s less accurate.
