Why would you get rid of the Trash and Archived tabs in the Inbox? Now I have to go over to another button to call up one of them, and if I go away and come back to that same Inbox, it's gone again? Why?

    Hi James,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. In Jotform Inbox, the Trash and Archive tabs are now hidden. You can open them anytime by clicking the three bars icon in the top right corner of the page. This update helps keep your Inbox cleaner and more focused on your active submissions, while still giving you quick access to Trash and Archive whenever you need them. Check out the screencast below for example:

Yeah, I figured that out. It makes it worse. It makes for more work on my part.

Prior to this, it was much easier, and they were right at hand. And always ready to be chosen. You say this was done to "make the inbox cleaner". It was fine the way it was. If I wanted to stay just on my current submissions, I could. If I wanted to quickly tab over to Trash or Archived, I could quickly jump between them. And if I went back to my workspace, and then back into my inbox, they were still there!

I don't understand what the issue was that you felt you were correcting. If I just wanted to deal with my current submissions, I could just stay in that Tab. It wasn't messy or "unclean".

This seems like a Microsoft level of change for change's sake. It makes no sense.

    Hi James,

We appreciate your feedback. The Jotform Inbox has a new functionality that allows you to create a New Tab, which can be used to easily group the submissions. See screencast:

This is also why you Trash and Archived has been moved to avoid confusion for multiple tabs.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

And I can just filter my regular submissions inbox instead of creating new tabs every time. I can't create a tab of Trash or Archived. Why not just leave the tabs where they were and add that functionality? Then users are free to use them or not, and still have ready access to Trash and Archive.

Maybe others use it differently, but the way we use Jotform, the Trash tab was much more useful in daily use.

Jotform asks for feedback and then argues with me, totally ignoring the need I'm expressing.

Bottom line: not happy with this change. It's not an improvement, in my opinion.

    Hi James,

I understand how important the Trash and Archive tabs were to your daily workflow, and I appreciate you sharing your feedback about their usefulness. While that feature isn’t available in Jotform right now, I’ve sent your request to our Developers for review. When or if it gets developed will depend on their current workload, how possible it is, and how much demand there is from other users. If/when we have any updates, we’ll follow up here and keep you posted.
