When you edit notification or autoresponder emails in Jotform, the email content editor shows the default submission data table with form field labels and their respective tags. This table is automatically populated with submitted data when emails are sent. However, if you manually alter the email content or the submission data table, the automatic update and retention of content may not work as expected.

Each time you click edit, the email editor loads the saved template, but if changes are not saved properly or if the template is customized beyond the default setup, you might need to update the content again.

To avoid this, make sure to save your changes after editing the email content. Also, keep in mind that the email content section updates automatically only if you do not alter the default submission data table structure.

If you want to customize the email content and retain it without needing to update every time, ensure you save the template properly before exiting the editor.
