hi, I have a form that is a college application form with a $40 fee payable via Stripe. I am using the testing mode and the appropriate dummy information. I get to the end and then it stops and says there is 1 error but does not tell me what the error is. I removed the stripe field and then put it back again but cant figure out what is wrong. can you help?

Form 'Application - LA Law Institute JD Program - State of Calfornia' (ID: 251345717964061). It appears your payment form's Stripe connection is successfully completed. We cleared your form caches. Please retry, and if access issues persist, please let me know with the details.

I understand that you're still encountering the same issue even after retrying. Could you please provide the specific error message you're seeing or any other relevant details about what happens when the error occurs? This will help us investigate the problem further.

    Hi Jon,

Since the error message is non-descript, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue with your Stripe payment integration in testing mode:

    1. Double-check your Stripe test mode settings: Ensure your Stripe account is properly connected in test mode within your form's payment settings.
    2. Verify payment field configuration: Confirm that the Stripe payment field is correctly set up with the right amount ($40) and currency.
    3. Clear your browser cache and cookies: Sometimes cached data can cause unexpected errors.
    4. Test with different dummy card numbers: Use various Stripe test card numbers to see if the error persists.
    5. Review additional gateway settings: Check if options like "Charge Customer Immediately" or "Ask Billing Information" are configured properly.
    6. Check for conflicting conditions or required fields: Make sure no other form fields or conditions are preventing submission.

If you continue to experience the issue after trying these steps, please share any additional details or screenshots of the error if possible. This will help us further diagnose the problem.

    Hi Jon,

Thanks for your message. We can help you schedule a Zoom Support session with one of our Customer Success Managers. To proceed, could you please provide a brief description of what you’d like to discuss and share a link to the related form? This will help our team prepare for the call and make the most of your time.

Please note that these meetings are scheduled directly with our Customer Success team, and developers are not available to join these calls. If your issue needs escalation to a developer, we can handle that here in this thread once we have the necessary details.

Looking forward to your response to help coordinate the best option for you.

    Hi Jon,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I cloned your form and tried to replicate the issue, but everything worked the way it should. Check out my result in the screencast below:

Theres an error on this page message when submitting the form Image 1 Screenshot 20

The error message in the screenshot you shared usually appears when there's a required field that isn't filled out. Is your Stripe integration still in the Test Mode? If so, will you allow us a test submission in your form?

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to help you with this.

    Hi Jon,

I've gone ahead and tested your form to replicate the issue, but it seems to be working properly. Sees screencast:

Theres an error on this page message when submitting the form Image 1 Screenshot 30 Can you tell us more about how you're getting the issue? It looks like Jotform Sign Automation is blocking the error because of the preview sign document. Can you disable the automation so you can click on the error to see what's causing it? Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, go to Settings at the top.
    2. Click on Jotform Sign on the left menu.
    3. Toggle off the Jotform Sign Automation button.

Theres an error on this page message when submitting the form Image 2 Screenshot 41

Once this is disabled, you should be able to click on the See Error button to locate it.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any more help.

Hi, I turned off the jotsign and then was able to see this error message:

IntegrationError: It looks like you have payment mode in your Elements options but the amount is not set. Please call elements.update() to set the amount before calling stripe.createPaymentMethod()

Im not sure what that means, can you just fix it?

    Thanks,

    Jon

    Hi Jon,

When I cloned and tested your form, everything worked the way it was supposed to. Take a look at the screenshot below to see my results:Theres an error on this page message when submitting the form Image 1 Screenshot 20I went ahead and cleared your form cache, as this typically fix minor form issues. Can you try it again and see how it goes? If you run into the same issue again, can you share a quick screen recording of what’s happening so we can try to replicate it on our end? You can upload it to Google Drive, Dropbox, or record with Loom and send us the link.

Give it a try and reach out again if you have any other questions.
