Hello,
There is an account created by a former employee (vishal.gupta@spirent.com) that I would like to transfer and have access to in order to update a form that has been in use. How can I accomplish this?

Hi John,
I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.
Transferring your forms and data to another account is straightforward. When you transfer a form, all its submission data moves with it, and the receiving account becomes the new owner. Here are some important points to note:
If you're using a custom URL, it will automatically update to the new owner's username.
The transfer cannot be undone unless the new owner agrees to send the forms back.
It's not possible to transfer forms to or from HIPAA-friendly accounts.
Let me show you how to do it:
Go to your My Workspace page and click on your Avatar/Profile Image in the top-right corner.
Click on Settings in the window that opens.
Click on the Data tab on the left side.
In the Transfer Form section, click Transfer Form.
Enter the Authentication Code sent to your email and click Verify.
Select the form you want to transfer by ticking the box next to its name.
Enter the new owner's email address in the New Email Owner’s Email Address field.
Click Transfer Form to send the transfer request.
You can only send one form transfer at a time. If needed, you can cancel a pending transfer request from the Data page by clicking View Details in the Pending Transfer section and then selecting Cancel Request.
Once the forms are transferred, the new owner will receive an email notification to accept the transfer.
Reach out again if you have any other questions.

Hi John,
Since the account was created under the former employee’s email address (vishal.gupta@spirent.com), Jotform cannot grant direct access or transfer ownership without confirmation from the registered email, as this protects account security and data privacy.
The best approach is to first try regaining access to the employee’s email account through your company’s IT team. Once you can access that inbox, you’ll be able to Reset the Jotform Password and manage the account directly. If the email account cannot be recovered, you may instead clone the existing form into a new or current Jotform account under your control. Cloning an Existing Form From a URL is easy. Let me walk you through it:
1. On yourMy Workspace page, click on Create on the top-left side of the page.
2. Select Form from the assets, and then click on Import Form.
3. In the next window, click on From a Web Page.
4. Paste the form link into the Enter URL field and click on Create Form.
After cloning your form, it will open in Form Builder automatically. You can now edit it the way you want and publish it.
Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.

Hi Manilene,
I have regained access to the mailbox for vishal.gupta@spirent.com. However, requesting password reset does not send any notification. Can you see if that email was used to created the account? How can I shut this one down?
Thanks,
John Civitano

Hi John,
I’m glad to hear that you were able to regain access to the email address vishal.gupta@spirent.com. Although, after checking our records, we were not able to find any Jotform account associated with this email address. To help us locate the correct account, could you double-check if this is the exact email address used for registration? If you’re unsure, you can also provide us with a form URL that is linked to the account. With that information, we’ll be able to investigate further and try to locate the account on your behalf.
Once we hear back from you, we can get moving on a solution.
I reviewed the account associated with the form URL you provided, and I found that it is actually linked to the email address vishal1g**ta@h*t***l.c*m. If you still have access to this email account, the best course of action would be to reset the password directly. This will allow you to securely regain access to the Jotform account without further steps.
Try that and reach out again if you need more help.
