    Hello

is there a possibility to add a new field in the email received by the person assigned to approve

for example.. if the form has 4 fields.. when it is time to approve.. the email that the person should approve to, he/she will find a new field as the comment but included in the form itself

Hi Ahmed, you can add a new comment field in the approval email by customizing your approval workflow to include that field as part of the form data sent to the approver. This way, the approver will see the form fields plus a comment section directly in the approval email. For detailed steps on setting this up, you might find the guide accessible via the button below very helpful. Let me know if you want me to explain more!

    Hi Ahmed,

There are a few workarounds that you can use to accomplish this. You can first try hiding the added fields on the form using Show and Hide conditions. Then, by using the Get Page URL widget, you can include a new condition to only show the field when it is accessed via the Edit link during the Approval stage. We can further help you by providing detailed instructions if you can share the link to the form you're working with so we can first check the best solution for it.

Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

    Hi Ahmed,

The approval email template is fixed, meaning you cannot directly add or remove fields from the email template itself using conditions. But if a field's value is empty, it simply won't show anything in the approval email for that field. To control when a field appears in the approval email, you can create conditions in your form to update a specific field based on the user's answers or the month selected. This way, the field will only have a value (and thus appear in the email) when the condition is met. We have a guide on How to Insert Text or Calculation into a Field Conditionally that you can check out. If you need help setting up these conditions or want more detailed guidance, feel free to share your form URL.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi Ahmed,

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add the Grade field on your form or the Percentage widget to the Approval email for the Approver to edit it. As a workaround, the approver can add comment upon approval of what grade they wanted to add. If you want to add the grade using the form, another workaround is the one provided by my colleague Ronald. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page.
    2. Go to Widgets tab, then drag and drop Get Form Page URL widget. adding a new field in the approval email Image 1 Screenshot 60
    3. In the orange navigation bar at the top of the screen, click on Settings.
    4. Click on Condition on the left side of the screen.
    5. Click on Add Condition, then select Show/Hide Field. adding a new field in the approval email Image 2 Screenshot 71
    6. Copy the Condition below, then click on Save.adding a new field in the approval email Image 3 Screenshot 82

Let me show you how you can add the Edit Link in the approval Email.

    1. In Workflow Builder, click on the Approval element.
    2. Click on the Gear icon.
    3. Under Notification Email, click on Edit Email.
    4. Under Email tab, click on Form Fields, then on the list, select Edit Link, and click on Save. adding a new field in the approval email Image 4 Screenshot 93
