Hey, is there a reason why my AI Agents always asks users for their email address?

Hi Felons,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. Your AI Agents ask users for their email address because it is often included in the form or interaction flow to collect contact information. This helps the AI Agent identify users and facilitate follow-up communication or verification if needed.
I checked your AI Agent and can see that there is a form linked to it and the Email Address field is set to required. If the user did not provide the email address the first time your AI Agent ask for it, the AI Agent will continue asking for it since it is a required field. But if the email address was already provided and your AI Agent is still asking for it, can you share a quick screen recording of what’s happening so we can try to replicate it on our end? You can upload it to Google Drive, Dropbox, or record with Loom and send us the link.
Once we hear back from you, we'll be able to move forward with a solution.

It usually happens because the AI Agent has the “Collect User Email” option enabled in its settings, or because the connected workflow requires an email field to identify or follow up with users. You can check your agent’s configuration in the Data Collection / User Input settings and disable the email prompt if you don’t need it. If the workflow or integration (like CRM or notifications) depends on email, the agent will always ask for it.
