    Hi.

    I have this form:

    https://form.jotform.com/202305667624050

and i would like to produce a PDF:

    https://www.jotform.com/pdf-editor/202305667624050?submission=5805329569947440476&createDoc=1

The PDF would look something like this:

But the form has a Spanish language translation and the client filled it out in Spanish. Is there a way to print the Spanish version instead of the English?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks!

    Hi Shine,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

Regarding your question about printing the PDF in the Spanish translation language, currently, Jotform's PDF Editor does not automatically print the PDF in the form's translated language based on the user's submission language. The PDF will generally display the default language (English in your case).

One workaround is to customize your PDF template manually in the PDF Editor to include the Spanish translations, or create a separate PDF template for the Spanish version. When the form is submitted in Spanish, you can then generate or send the PDF based on the Spanish template.

Alternatively, you can use the Edit Link method to open the submission in the form itself (which will show the language used by the client) and print it directly from there.

Let us know if you need guidance on setting up these options.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

    Hi Shine,

To use the Edit Link method for printing submissions in the language the client used, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings in your Form Builder.
    2. Click Emails on the left panel and edit your email notification.
    3. Add a new row in the email template and insert the {edit_link} tag.
    4. When you receive a submission, click the Edit Link in the email to open the form with the user's data in the submitted language.
    5. Use the Print button on the form to print it as filled out.

This way, you can print the form exactly as the client saw and filled it out, including the Spanish translation.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

    Hi estudioshine,

Unfortunately, the entry from the PDF can't be translated into multiple languages as soon as your form fillers submit your form in their preferred language. Your PDF will always capture the original form language. As a workaround, you need to create two PDF documents with different languages. Let me show you how to do that:

Let’s begin by creating a PDF document:

    1. In PDF Editor, in the blue navigation bar, click on the New PDF button.
    2. Click on Use Default Layout and customize your document as you like.
    3. Finally, click on the Print Button if you need to print the PDF document. Translate PDF automatically Image 1 Screenshot 20

You can also check out our guide explaining How to Create PDF Forms with PDF Editor for more information. While that feature isn’t available in Jotform right now, I’ve sent your request to our Developers for review. When or if it gets developed will depend on their current workload, how possible it is, and how much demand there is from other users. If/when we have any updates, we’ll follow up here and keep you posted.
