Hi Melissa,
Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I checked your form, but there's no Dropdown element there. Check out my screenshot below:
Can you explain more about what you want to happen? If you want to limit the number of selections for up to 5 only, you can use our Quantity Gift Registry widget. Let me show you how to set this up:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page and from the Widgets tab, search for Quantity Gift Registry.
- Next, click on the Wand icon of the Quantity Gift Registry widget.
- From the General tab, enter the dates and enclose the quantity of 5 in a bracket.
- Lastly, click on Update in the bottom-right corner of the page.
Here's the result:
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page and from the Widgets tab, search for Gift Registry.
- Click on the Wand icon of the Gift Registry widget and, from the General tab, enter the dates with the quantity enclosed in brackets.
- Lastly, click on Update in the bottom-right corner of the page.
Here's the result:
Here's the result when the user selected an option from both of the widgets:As you can see from my screencast above, the quantity is decreased based on the quantity selected.
If this is not what you're referring to, can you explain more about it?
- In Form Builder, click on Add Element on the left side of the page and from the Widgets tab, search for Quantity Gift Registry.

I need to be able to add the multiple choices for each date. I need 5 ppl to work 6:30-half on each date and 5 people to work half time thru clean up for each date

Hi Melissa,
Could you clarify what you’re trying to accomplish? When you mention needing 5 people for each half, do you already have a list of names? Will the assignments be made manually, or will you input the names of those designated for each half? Also, if someone is selected for the first half, can that same person be chosen again for the second half?
Can you provide a screenshot of the visual idea you’re thinking of? That'll help us to understand better what’s going on. Let me show you how to post a screenshot to our Help Center:
1. On the Help Center page, scroll down to the Your Answer section and click on the Image icon.
2. Drag and drop your image into the Upload box, or click on it and select your file.
3. Then, click on the Add button in the bottom-right corner of the window.
4. To resize it, click on your screenshot and then click on one of the boxes in the corners, and drag it inward.
5. Once you're finished, click on the Post Answer button at the bottom right of the Your Answer section.

On my form, under each date there are 2 options to choose from. I only need 5 people to sign up per option per date. So I want to limit the number to 5 that can sign up for each option.
So for example on August 29, St Al: I need 5 people from 6:30-HALFTIME & 5 people for HALFTIME thru CLEAN UP

Hi Melissa,
Thanks for sharing that, it paints a clearer picture of what’s happening. Since you need to limit sign-ups to 5 people per shift per date, the best way to set this up is by using the Gift Registry widget, as my colleague suggested earlier in the thread. You can follow the guide that my colleague shared here.
Check out my screencast below to see the results:
Give it a try and let us know if you need any help.
