    Hi,

we would like to create a dropdown like ex:

    Heading :

    Maths

    Eng

    Science

If the end user name called A choose "maths", it should get disabled for other user and so on.

so we are creating a form so end user can choose the option (only one limit) that they wanted to teach and it should be disbaled if its been choosen already.

    Hi Thenmozhi,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. You can consider using our Inventory widget. Let me show you how to set it up:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Add Form Element menu on the left side of the page.

    2. Click on the Widgets tab, search for Inventory, and click on it to add it to your form.

    3. Click on the Inventory widget field, then click on the Wand icon to open its settings.

    4. In the menu on the left side of the page, under the Available Quantity section enter your stock limit.

Don't forget that you can only use whole numbers in stock, so numbers with decimals won't be recognized.

Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

    Hi priyaalagesan,

Thanks for getting back to us and for sharing the form . Let me walk you through how to set up the inventory widget field so it works the way you need:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Inventory widget field you added.
    2. On the right side, click the Wand icon to open settings.
    3. In the Product List field, type in each subject (e.g., Maths, English), pressing Enter after each one so they appear as separate line items in the dropdown menu.
    4. Set the Available Quantity as 1 for each option. This makes sure that once a user selects an option, it is no longer available for the next user, per your requirements.
    5. Save the settings and preview your format.

Let us know how you go with this and we will be happy to provide further resistance.

    Hi Thenmozhi,

To set the dropdown of the Inventory widget to 1 you need to set the Quantity Range to 0-1. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, click on the Inventory Widget.

    2. Click on the Wand Icon, the scroll down to the Quantity Range option and set it to 0-1.

    3. Once done, click on the Update button to save the changes.

Thank you and if the end user is choosing, English as 1,

I want the english option to get disabled so the other teacher wont get to choose English.

Basically, its first come first serve,

    Hi Thenmozhi,

That’s how the widget is designed to work. If there’s only one stock available, the first person who selects it and submits will get it. Others who try to pick the same item afterward will see it grayed out or disabled when filling out the form.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can help you with.
