I am using the free version of jot form. However, when I share any of my forms as a template, they do not appear in the public templates folder.

    Hi Tim,

Thanks for reaching out to Jotform Support. I'm an AI assistant. I'll do my best to help you until someone from the support team is available.

When you share your form as a template in Jotform, it goes through a review process before it appears in the public templates folder. During this time, a red locked icon will show on your shared template, indicating it is still private. Once approved, it will be published and visible in the Templates Gallery for others to use.

Give it a try and let us know how it goes.

    Best regards,
    Jotform Support

I had shared some other forms publicly prior to this and other users were able to access them. However they are no longer appearing in the public folders for other people.

    Hi Tim,

To make sure your forms are properly shared and visible to others, you can also review the access and sharing settings of your form. It's easy to change your Form Status from Private to Public. Let me show you how:

    1. In Form Builder, in the orange navigation bar at the top of the page, click on Publish.
    2. Click on Private Form next to Share With Link, and then select Public Form in the window that opens.

Give it a try and let us know if you have any other questions.

I have no problem sending the forms to other people and having the filled out. The problem is when I share the form as a Template for other Jot Form users. The shared Template is not showing up for anyone else to clone and use. Previously I was able to do that in the past and users were able to access them. But now, those templates are missing as well. Was there a change that prevents users of free accounts from sharing templates with other users?

    Hi Tim,

Take note that the form template that was shared needs to be reviewed first before it becomes public in the Form Templates gallery. Once the forms are approved, you will be able to find the form templates there. We cannot provide an estimated time as to when the form templates will be approved by the designated team.

If you immediately want other users to use the forms and can't wait for them to be approved, you can ask them to clone the forms instead. Cloning an Existing Form From a URL is easy. Let me walk you through it:

    1. On your My Workspace page, click on Create on the top-left side of the page.

    2. Select Form from the assets, and then click on Import Form.

    3. In the next window, click on From a Web Page

    4. Paste the form link into the Enter URL field and click on Create Form.

Unable to Locate the Form Template that was Shared Image 2 Screenshot 41 After cloning your form, it will open in Form Builder automatically. You can now edit it the way you want and publish it.

Give it a try and let us know if you need any other help.
